Panda Garden Buffet — Restaurant in Amite City

First off we go the a lot , but today was a flop, first upon entering, the hostess was very rude, she was cashing someone out, and she pointed to where we needed to sit, from there we got boiled shrimp and we had trouble peeling them, I informed the hostess we had trouble peeling them, and she told me that all they had was the white shrimp, and I told her that made no sense, so she went to the kitchen and brought us some from the kitchen, but they also was hard to peel, she then came to the table and I asked her to remove the plate she had brought because they also was to hard to peel, she then stood at the table and slowly peeled, and I mean very slowly peeled 2 shrimp, so then told me , a 66 yr old Cajun that I did not know how to peel shrimp, so trying to keep my cool, I politely asked my partner if he was ready to go, at that point he had gave up on trying to peel his shrimp also, we then go up and went to the cashier- hostess to pay, which we paid full price for a terrible Sunday lunch, we decided that we would drive to Hammond next time , we give up on this...

We used to go sit down in here all the time when we lived closer. The atmosphere was always so relaxing/cozy. It was my favorite place to sit and eat. Between the comfortable setting and the nice staff, it was just always a go to pick.

We live a little further now, but my Dad is a trucker. He passes through Amite all the time. So sometimes on Fridays he will go in and pick up lunch for himself or for us if we want something. The food is still, as it always was, tasty and good. But that's not why I'm leaving this review.

Without going into too much detail, I want to state how absolutely kind the people are at Panda Garden Buffet. When my dad needed some help, they helped him. These are good people and they deserve all good things and good business and...

Yes I visited it to meet with a few friend girls for shopping ..so we enjoyed ourselves at Panda Garden Buffet...and that was a great choice for me do to I picked it for us to eat...for my friend girls..from out of town..and yes I was right clean inside ..food displayed so fresh looking..as taste as good as it looked..service was fast and attentive..on drinks..we ate laughed talked business...we almost forgot why we were even going to do next....ummm had to be nice..relaxing...woman don't forget shopping...thanks...Panda Garden Buffet...
