I didn't really know what to expect when I first came in here, because the area it is located in is less than reputable. However, ignoring the uncomfortable amount of transients stationed just outside of the adjacent 7/11, I was pleasantly surprised with the place. Don't let the downscale ambiance turn you away!

Though no one welcomed me when I walked in, but rather just stared awkwardly as if I wasn't even meant to be there, I was determined to get in on the taco Tuesday deals. Mind you, they charge more than two dollars for their tacos on a taco Tuesday special, so I was immediately biased toward the level of quality I expected to receive. For more than two dollars, I better be munching down on some loaded, flavorful tacos.

Well, the tacos were filled with a more-than-acceptable amount of meat and garnishing, but the flavor was mid. That's really all I can say, good portioning with some disappointingly mid flavor. If this place was any further than just down the street, you can rest assured I wouldn't return.

Come here if you're local, go elsewhere if you're looking for...

The best Carne Asada/Carnitas fries in Southern California. I don't like beans on my Carne fries so VIP is perfect for me. Not only do they skip the beans but they also use crinkle fries, seriously they have the absolute perfect recipe for these. I have tried most of the menu items (the menu is pretty limited) and have been impressed with everything. I am always a fan of quality over quantity and in my opinion VIP has definitely delivered. The daily specials are a greatconstantly bustantly changing hours to be really annoying lately, please decide on a schedule. The one they have now would be great if they would stay open until 3:00 a.m. on Thursday also. It's a very small place and it gets very busy\crowded so you are always safest getting the food to go calling your order in is also a good idea. Whoever is in charge of the menu for delivery (door dash I think) needs some help because he\she left Carne Fries off the delivery menu (seriously...

It was our first time here and the tacos are more than $3, we spent $40 on 4 tacos and an order of fries. It was late and we didn't want to drive around, this place happened to be it on our way and we decided to give it a try. The service was awful, they took too long on our order including giving us our drinks. We were the only customers there before there was more people. The tables were dirty and seats. This place is full of spit with a homeless outside. It was a very unpleasant and disgusting visit, mind you I got food poison and my husband got sick on his stomach. I don't recommend this place at all, it was too expensive for what they served. The tortillas were cold coming apart and the meat was too oily. We will not return ever again. I don't understand why so many stars on a place like...

My first visit to VIP tacos. Convenient location on Lincoln just east of 57 freeway. Small establishment, and a little on the warm side. However, the food is fantastic. Had sopes, which is $1.99 on Sundays. Also had chorizon tacos, meat a little well done but still delicious with the hand made corn tortillas. They had a pot of pinto beans which was a great addition to the tacos. Wide selection of fountain and bottled drinks. There is also a salsa bar. Would recommend and will be returning. Update: Made a quick stop at VIP tacos for a breakfast burrito. The chorizo breakfast burrito is a definite home run. It's not greasy and the perfect amount of beans and rice. Not too often do I love chorizo breakfast burritos. Dont live close but will definitely return. FYI, try their corn tortillas. Wow!

Food: Taco Tuesday! The tacos are $1.50 on Taco Tuesday. These tacos are not the small street tacos but are full sized tacos! Whatever type of meat you get, the tacos are stuffed to the brim and wrapped in a homemade corn tortilla. I got carne asada, chicken and el pastor. My favorite was the carne asada and el pastor. Service: Customer Service was great! The place was packed and my order got skipped. The manager saw that my order was immediately next and gave me a free tall bottle of Coke (the Mexican sort with sugarcane and not corn syrup). He was apologetic and invited me back. Final thought: I have been back and it's my offical Taco Tuesday spot! Be warned, it does get busy. I need to try their burritos!
