Pizza King — Restaurant in Anderson

I have tried so many times to give this store more credit, but time after time they have failed to provide good service and food. I have to order here for delivery and if I am able to pick up I go to madison ave, they have great customer service and the pizza is so much better!! I had to call madison ave a few months back bc I was unable to pick up and I called columbus for almost an hour and no one would answer, just so happened the GM was there and they took my order and called Columbus. I didn’t get my pizza for another 1hr 35 min! Not once was I offered an apology or anything for my time and headache!! The pizza at columbus is thinner, I never know if I should order 3/4 baked breadsticks or regular bc they are either way under cooked or way over. I ordered delivery 2x last month and both times I was delivered the wrong food!!! Not once have they offered me a discount, A free breadstick even!! Tonight I ordered carry out, I get there and I say “How are you? Have you guys been busy?” I was looking for my money so he had to wait maybe 15 secs and seemed irritated by it, not friendly from the first sec. I then asked him “Can you put this in a box for me, please? I feel like it don’t stay warm in the bags” (still chipper and kind) He said “excuse me?“ I repeated it, He says, “Next time let us know beforehand so we don’t have to waste a bag” and says it with an attitude!!! I said “It’s not that big of a deal, I’ll give you a quarter for the paper bag” he again says “excuse me?” like i am thinking he has to hear me, and i said i’ll give you a quarter for it. He said “It’s fine.” Just unbelievable how much money I have given this place and they have somehow to find thee worst possible humans to work in a customer service position!!!! I don’t understand it!! I don’t give a ton of reviews and have only given one bad one and that was after months of horrible rude service at the other place I reviewed, so after terrible service way too many times, I had to speak the truth about this place. I am definitely not the only person who has said this about Columbus. Hope you people save the trouble and go...

This place used to be the best pizza place in Anderson. When my friends decided on Pizza King for dinner tonight I was so excited - until it showed up wrong. It wouldn’t have been that big of a deal, we know people make mistakes... but the woman who answered the phone when we called to let them know was a complete terror. We explained that we didn’t want mushrooms, and our pizza was covered in them. “Well, you didn’t tell us you had an allergy!” Excuse me, is the fact that I said “no mushrooms” not enough to get me the pizza that I asked and paid for? I do understand that they must make it special to avoid contact, but there is absolutely no reason for the service we received. An entire hour AFTER being told they would send the correct pizza, (just had to wait for the driver to get back) we called again and was told it would be 45 minutes until it was here. Upon driving to the store to get a refund, the same lady that answered the phone was there. While we tried to explain the situation to the cashier, she turned around and wanted to tell across the restaurant about why we hadn’t received it yet - because the driver hadn’t been back to the restaurant since we told them about the mistake (keep in mind that was an hour before). She stated she hadn’t made the pizza because “it would just sit there”. What about the pizzas getting nasty in the drivers car if he hadn’t gotten pizzas in an hour? The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the manager who was standing nearby. She was able to quickly get the pizza remade and put our name down for a credit. Pizza is great, if they remember what you ordered, but the customer service is AWFUL!!!!! Do yourself a favor and go to a pizza king where the supervisor, TAMIKA (or something like that), DOES NOT WORK THERE!!!! The most childish attitude I have ever came across and I am in my mid 20's so I feel like that in itself is already saying a lot. I walked in and not only was she on her phone, paying NO ATTENTION TO CUSTOMER, but saw one of her friends come by and just walk to the coke machine behind the counter, they chit chatted and then walked out. I don't like to jump to conclusions but the minute that her friend walked in and he asked if he can get a free drink and she said yes, I was blown away. I am a business owner, a Veteran, and have seen a businesses run great and sub-par but this place? Who made her manager? Argumentative, disrespectful to her own employees, to include an older gentleman worker who was really nice and opened the door for me and greeted me with a smile. I would love to get in touch with the district manger or someone who actually owns this place to reconsider another person to be a supervisor. I mean I felt bad for the employees just dealing with her temper and her bossing people around, while she is on her phone. I tried to get her attention and snapped a look at me with a "I am having a conversation on my persona cell phone can't you see". She looks like she is 21-22 years old but acts like a 2-3 year old.
