Visited this location on Saturday 25-Feb after being told to check it out from locals in Anderson. Being from out of town I was looking forward to try some different BBQ.

First, I would say the service was 5 stars (server was great). However the BBQ that day I'd say would not be competition style or close to award winning, it was average and expensive.

Food arrived quickly, three brisket slices and three ribs attached together (not cut separately). Brisket rub was ok, not overall spicy and the slices were thin cut. If not eaten quickly the slices dried out where tug and pull was more than normal, meat became very chewy and non-flavorful. I would have preferred 1 thick slice over a few thin slices to retain moisture longer while eating.

Ribs were average & disappointment, seemed like I received end cut of a rack, didn't taste fresh, and had been under a warmer for hours. While having smoke taste the ribs lacked any other flavor or rub seasoning. Ribs were hard to cut using plastic knife provided at table. So pulling them apart, all the meat fell off from the bones reflecting them being overdone, providing no clean bite off the bone with a satisfying chew. While the outside of the meat was warm, the inside was cool and lacked any juice... no napkins needed.

As for the sides, they're all delicious. Roll was fantastic with butter, the cole slaw very fresh and tasty, and fries hot and crispy.

With the price of BBQ... a two meat combo with drink $28 plus tip, it's a bit high for any lunch in the area and you'd...

OH.MY.LAWD. My partner and I decided to do a South Carolina road trip and the Anderson/Greenville area was our first stop. I honestly never gave SC much thought for some reason and do I feel stupid. The bbq I had in SC was next level. I’ve had plenty of BBQ in my life in many places (FL, GA, AL, TX, NC, TN to name some) and I seriously think SC has the best BBQ…

Smokin Pigs was sincerely delicious and I am grateful I was in the area on a day it was open. That is the biggest problem with traveling in the state, trying to get to the BBQ places you want when they are open!

This place set the bar HIGH. Everything was delicious even the sides. So many sauces. So many yums. They bring pork rinds to the table when you sit down! It’s an order at the counter and they bring your food place. Food comes out quick. I wish I could go back now…

The brisket and ribs were DIVINE! Texas, this brisket is looking at you. The pork was good but not the shining star. All of the sides were good, that never happens! My...

We eat here all the time and the food is always excellent, and if you go inside the service is always superb. However this week my mom decided to call in her order for togo over the phone (she’s not tech savvy and hates ordering online). When I got there to pick it up I noticed there was a 20% tip and thought nothing about it. When I got to her house with the food she asked if they had gone up in price, I said no they are still the same and she said her bill was more I told her she left and tip and she said oh I didn’t tell them to leave a tip. I looked thru her bag for a receipt and didn’t find one in the bag. I guess they just decided they deserved a 20% tip. I know times are tough, and everything is going up and people are just trying to make it, but you shouldn’t be able to give yourself a 20% tip without consent. We definitely won’t be back for a while after this incident. And I would suggest anyone who makes a call in order to check their bill at the end for...

My wife & I arrived shortly after 5pm on a Friday evening, surprisingly the place was not busy. We were able to go straight to the counter & order. 15 minutes later, our food arrived at the table. The fried okra is as good as I have ever had. The chopped pork was very tasty & tender, I was as happy to eat it without sauce, as with. The Sweet Potato crunch could have been a touch sweeter. Service was OUTSTANDING! Within 3 minutes of getting our food, 3 wait staff came by to check on us & make sure we didn't need anything. Before departing, the line to the counter was so long, I was certain a bus had arrived, but upon exiting I found none. I did find a parking lot slammed full of cars, so apparently we timed our arrival just before the rush. While it was a bit on the expensive side for BBQ, ($12/plate), it was truly delicious. A GREAT dining experience.
