Read moreIn a world where grabbing a hamburger means eating something that probably does not contain beef this place is an amazing throw back.
I was told while passing thru Andrews this is the place to stop so I did. I was not disappointed.
The food is amazing. The atmosphere is your car so there is nothing to complain about. It’s old and not the flash that a chain has but you can tell the food is made to order.
When is the last time you had an actual steak finger that did not come out of a bag?
Literally everything here is homemade and amazing.
I had to test them all.
Hamburger was what a hamburger should be. Perfect pickles onions and sauces all the way around. Nothing fancy just a great burger.
Onion ring, wow. Just perfect. I personally remember the big flaky homemade onion rings but these are a close second.
The steak fingers are literally steak. Imagine chicken fried steak that you can eat while driving.
Overall blown away.
The ordering is a little funky if you have never been there but they make it work. Again this...
Read moreThis is a local place we saw on the Texas Bucket List tv show. It is a 90 minute drive from Lubbock in Andrews Texas. We had the steak fries, which are inch wide, 6 inch long pieces of steak, dipped in flour and deep fried, and served with french fries, toast, and white gravy. Maybe some kind of extra spices in the meat for better flavor. Its not enough wow to make me drive from Lubbock to go there, and thats why i only give four stars. This place serves comfort food. I can only speak for what i had, but i have no doubt the chicken fried steak and burgers would be great as well. The prices and portions are very reasonable. If i lived in the Andrews area i would be eating there as often...
