I came in on a busy Saturday night with a friend I was visiting. I’m not from NC and my friend was showing me around when we found this great pub on Main & Chestnut. Unlike pretty much anywhere else we ate/drank in Andrew’s, PGP’s food and drinks uplift the entire town to a Savannah, GA or Nashville vibe. From their beer on tap to local winery selections from Andrew’s own Ferncrest Winery to the full bar, managed by a talented bartender who whipped me up a lemon drop martini on the fly, this place has their drinks on lock. Food options were excellent and varied, and difficult to choose from. Appetizers included Pub Nachos, Spinach Artichoke Dip, and Scotch Eggs. We had been dying to try this place and finally did! NEVER again, we walked in and stood awkwardly in the door way because we were unsure if it was self seating. The bartender just stood at the bar with his arms crossed. We opted to sit at the bar and upon doing so the same bartender put menus in front of and not one word. He just stood there with his arms crossed like he couldn't be bothered! After a few minutes we asked if he was serving drinks and his reply was "if you order one" . He made us both feel like we were bothering him. At this point we didn't feel like being treated poorly so we stood up to leave, when. 2nd person came from the back and asked what was the problem.
