First off, the men in this place have always been neutral when we go in to pick up an order. They're not rude, they're not friendly, only neutral. I've never had a good or bad interaction with the men in this place. The females are all stuck up and rude. There's not one tiny piece of customer service to be found when you walk in. They'll get to you when they get to you. Then, when they CAN get to you, they take their time about it as if the customer is a burden. In ANY business customer service is very important. To the owner: Get your house in order. Seriously. I've had days when I really wanted some bbq, but I'd just rather not deal with those snooty idiots. This is the same reason I haven't been to Duran's BBQ joint in years, because of the young females there with their trashy attitudes. I got tired of it, and Wild West is next on the chopping block if they refuse to address the issues with their staff. After long days at work, we're really not in the mood to deal with people like that. For now, I'll still go in to pick up some pork ribs. If I have to hear my wife tell me those girls were rude again, or I see it myself..., we'll find another place to go.
2025.10.11 - The food was "decent" this time, except they didn't follow basic instructions, and usually don't give us our order how we asked for it. A burger was ordered with no cheese, and they put cheese on it. A baked potato was ordered with bbq chicken and chopped beef was put on it instead. Asked for no sour cream, they put sour cream. Today, we ordered onion rings and they came almost RAW. The batter barely had any color to it. They were very pale and noticeably raw, yet someone packed them in knowing the onion...
Read moreHighly recommend! What would you say if I told you that you could get substantially higher quality food through a drive through than fast food? … well here, you can.
About as quick as fast food- I was served a two meat plate for under $13. The hot potato salad was very good- creamy- and the potatos cooked that perfect firmness. Could have used a little more bacon… but couldn’t everything!?
The okra was darn good. Perfect breading thickness- great crunch.
This will be the deciding factor for many- if you like a big thick pink smoke ring- you won’t find it here. I believe a misnomer to call it proper BarBQue without a bit more of the fire flavor… that said- the sausage was average. Nothing special- didn’t taste homemade- so expect average pork blend sausage- the star of this dish was without a doubt the moist brisket. It was exactly the right temp. Tender. Juicy. Crust on the outside. I would eat the brisket again without question.
I’ll make another visit soon to see if the quality of the cook execution stays the same. May revise ratings up. Overall- 4.4/5.
PS- short tables exist for the kiddos! Neat! I’d bring my family. Update: 4/3/24 Meat by the pound is still 2022 pricing. Come get yourself some great food! Full pound for less than whataburger meal! Update 5/9/25; I do believe today I had the best moist brisket cut in southern brazoria county. Another great experience. Highly...
Read moreI decided to stop here as i was driving through Angleton. The guy behind the counter immediately started asking questions to find out my past experience with the restaurant. I told him it was my first time being there. He then began walking me through the menu and giving me a little history about the restaurant. He pointed out the local favorites on the menu, his personal favorites and some of the newer items. He's said I couldn't go wrong with the steak burger and fries so that is what I choose. My order was "to go" because I was driving to Galveston TX. About 5 miles down the road I took my first bite. The urge to U-turn and go back simply to shake that employee's hand for his recommendation was enormous. The steak was tender and very flavorful. The fries were uniquely cut in a shape that I had not seen before. They were good as well. I'm not sure about any other item on the menu, but I can certainly say the steak burger is a "must have" if you're ever in Angleton, TX. The guy behind the counter (name was Isreal) did a great job with the...
