Had the New York strip steak. Tougher than shoe leather. Brussel Sprouts were really good. Coleslaw was ok. Waitress asked if everything was ok and I told here this was the worst steak I've ever had. I put my fork in the steak and handed her the knife and asked her to try to cut it. She tried and failed! Sh apologized and asked if I would like something else. Tried the half rack of ribs and they were actually really good. Now here's where it gets interesting. The Waitress dropped the steak off the bill and added the ribs. Saved about 7 bucks on the bill and was grateful that she did that. But the bill came to 50 bucks so we always tip 20% and the tip is 10 bucks. But the bottom of the bill had 3 tips calculated for you. 10%.20%, and maybe 30%. Anyway the 20% that the computer generated was 16 bucks and some change. Just be aware if you use the computer generated numbers. They were not correct! Made the waitress aware and as we walked out she was explaining to the manager what happened. Hopefully...
Read moreI got takeout via DoorDash, picked it up myself. The restaurant/bar is super cute, tucked away behind the main street businesses. With a name that includes "lake", it seems odd that it's not ON the lake, but 🤷♀️
My food was done on time (I scheduled it) and nice and hot even once I got back to my hotel 15 minutes later. I got the Nashville hot sliders, they are a good size and taste great! For reference, their medium is equal to Thai level 1, haha. I will definitely try "hot" next time. But they taste great!
I got macaroni and cheese as my side, and an extra side of Brussels sprouts with bacon. I was a little leery of both - neither look particularly special in takeout containers. But, they taste great! (For the record, I ate one slider before I thought to take pictures!)
For the price, speed, and quality, I'll certainly go back. Maybe next time I will have the time to dine in! Their bar looked...
Read moreI really hope the best for this establishment that opened up in October.
I am no longer a local but grew up in this area. I was looking for a traditional Irish meal on Saint Patrick’s day and green beer and they offered both.
I was sadly disappointed to be served my beer in a red solo cup and convinced the bartender to give me a pint instead.
The corn beef was full of gristle and the cabbage lacked flavor. I was surprised to see that it was not served with potatoes and carrots. I have talked to other locals who have had similar experiences with the food.
I am not sure exactly what vibe they are trying to attract here as it is a beautifully designed dining area that doesn’t allow anyone under 21 to enter. The bar is gorgeous but limited on liquor choices.
Like I said, I really do wish them the best of luck because if they can choose a niche that can vibe with Angola, they can...
