The Rooted Vegan — Restaurant in Angola

We stumbled upon this magical place by accident while antiquing, and The Rooted Vegan did NOT disappoint! As a vegan, it's always exciting to find somewhere that has an entirely vegan menu! We ordered three lunch entrees (there were only two of us, but we couldn't decide! 🤷🏼‍♀️😁)! Then before we left, we ordered four or five of the amazing desserts in the case for the drive back home! Everything was INCREDIBLE! We'll make the two hour drive as often as we can. The Rooted Vegan is a true gem! 🤤💚

Editing after our second time visiting : I cannot rave enough about this amazing gem of a vegan restaurant! This time the star of the show (aside from the desserts, of course!) was the vegan breakfast crunch wrap. Ho. Ly. Cow! It was so good, that we got THREE to go! 🤤 The array of desserts was, as always, amazing (we took almost one of everything to go!). The BOB was delish, the chkn/bc wrap, and the queso were also delicious! We'd be daily visitors if we lived close by! Can't wait to visit again next time we're [ANYWHERE] near...

Our family isn’t vegan however we are trying to eat healthier. We all have been sick and i didn’t have energy to cook but didn’t want everyone eating fast food. I saw this on door dash and everything looked so healthy and fresh so I thought why not let’s try it. I got the veggie sandwhich with chips and salsa. I was shocked how much chips and salsa came with it and the sandwich was so flavorful for not having any meat on it. My son got the PBJ sandwich and loved it. I loved that they used the fruit thief fruit snacks. That’s a brand we use in our house because it’s dye free and has clean ingredients. That was a wonderful surprise and it also came with apple sauce and chips. We both were stuffed after. You get a lot for your money and we felt like we nourished our bodies with something healthy which is hard to find especially on door dash. Hi, we heard this place is good and only 30 minutes away, we would love to visit, if you ever extend your hours or do weekend hours! We only can make it after 5 pm weekdays and have orchestra in defiance on Thursday evenings. Hopefully will be able to make it on a day off or something sometime!!! Sincerely, Two hungry vegans Edit: I went on a Friday that I was off for an appointment. Food was good, atmosphere was good and the staff was awesome! Definitely going to go again. My husband did mention his burrito wasn’t as good as he hoped because they use just egg and he was expecting something more of the consistency of scrambled tofu. It’s probably more of a him thing not knowing what to expect but if you’re used to tofu scramble and haven’t had just egg scramble the texture is different I guess and some people probably like it...
