Hyper Energy Bar — Restaurant in Ankeny

First Things First: I don’t think I’ve ever had a drive-through experience as exceptional as my visit to the Ankeny Hyper Energy Bar! This was my first time visiting a Hyper Energy Bar location, and the red-haired gentleman who served me (I regret not catching his name) was incredibly kind, accommodating, and simply a wonderful human being.

From start to finish, the customer service was outstanding. Not only was my initial visit one of the best I’ve ever had, but it got even better when I realized I had mistakenly ordered one of my drinks without requesting it sugar-free. Feeling a bit embarrassed, I pulled back through, fully expecting to just reorder and accept the mix-up. But when I explained my mistake, he didn’t hesitate, without a second thought, he reassured me that it was no trouble at all and kindly offered to swap my drink for a sugar-free version. That’s exactly what he did, with the same warmth and generosity that made my visit so memorable.

On 9/9/25 at 7pm, I was on a bike ride and there was glass all over the public trail, a lot of it! I went to the Hyper right by the trail to ask to borrow a broom to clean the trail and the young ladies working that night went and took care of the glass cleaning the trail for all the cyclists and other trail users. The kicker it was after hours, I had caught them before they were about to leave and they took care of it anyway. Thank you ladies for being good people and good to the community. My favorite place to get energy drinks! The Jet Fuel is my favorite tasting energy drink I've ever had. Very enjoyable. They have so many flavor options and monthly special flavors as well. Their coffee is also pretty good, but I think their energy drinks are their best products. The staff have always been extremely friendly and efficient.
