Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Ann Arbor

I would give less than 1 star if I could.... Coworker ordered for us (though I warned them about my previous experiences) and received notification that the order was received. She called 20 minutes later to see where the food was and was told at 11:54 that the driver was walking out the door with the food. The restaurant is LITERALLY a 5 minute drive from the office. My coworker called back 15 minutes later, received apologies etc .... the food arrived at 12:55 - an HOUR after she was told it was out for delivery! WTH? Just what is freaky fast about an hour delivery when the store is 5 minutes away? As I mentioned below the owner did respond to the original review quickly; though nothing really happened from there. This is the 4th order with worse results than the previous 3.

Original Review: Order was received by them at 11:14 - order arrived at 12:08. They are literally a 5 -7 min drive from my office! This is the second order that took so long. The previous order was over an hour from order received to delivery (no snow either day). I receive notification that the order is out for delivery though the order tracker does not time stamp out for delivery. Both times I have called (they were very polite on the phone) and both times I was told the driver was out with the order. How many deliveries are they giving to one driver at a time??

Update - I thank the owner for the quick response here. I thought I would try again and unfortunately the same thing. I received notice that it is out for delivery (remember, they are 5 minutes away) and it took 41 minutes to receive it; 57 minutes from confirmation of order to delivery. And this was NOT at lunch hour. Definitely not...

Second time here. First time was before vivid and my grandsons wanted JJ for lunch. Cane here ordered, served and sat down. Lunch rush hit and this place rocked. Inside, drive thru and deliverie orders were processed like crazy. The team work was the best. Wish I had them working for me in manufacturing. Today's visit, Tkr number 28666 chk#387, placed order at drive thru at 3:51pm. At 4:05 pm I was home, 3.9 miles away eating my dinner. Great job again. I read the reviews before going and couldn't believe the lies being told. The Black man whom served me was one of the kindest person I've met, who served me with the kindest respect. Awesome job to all at Jimmy John's #90048. Forgot to add the measure of safety they showed. All had propped PPE and wore correctly. It's probably best to pick up your orders from this particular Jimmy John's to save yourself some hassle. I ordered online for delivery, they outsource in the evening (no employee drivers), and though delivery wasn't the issue on receipt of my order, had I been able to check what I was getting, I wouldn't have been so mad!

My sandwich was a "Bootlegger", minus: mayo and tomato, with EZ lettuce, provolone and a little oil&vinegar...

I got beef, turkey, provolone, EXTRA lettuce, onions (not even part of the deal) three nasty tomatoes, a swab of mayo, a dash of oil&vinegar!

The only reason they get a 2* versus a 1* is because the kid who answered the phone gave me the option to either PAY for a new sandwich plus delivery (not bloody likely!) OR cancel the order. I canceled. As hungry as I was, I couldn't bring...
