McDonald's — Restaurant in Anniston

I have been going to this McDonald’s my whole life and used to love coming here for the family atmosphere and playground. This last trip was the worst experience I’ve had at a McDonalds. I will not be bringing my family back here anymore. Took my children to eat dinner and play on the playground but was harassed by a wannabe McDonalds Police. Bigger guy wearing a yellow safety vest followed me and my children around and kept getting onto them. He would not leave of us alone. Asked my children to not make messes, not to press a help button, not to run in the playground, to take their shoes off, mess with the kiosk, play on chairs, etc. He would not leave of us alone. He would come to our table and stand there. He kept hovering over us and trying to clean up under and around our table while eating. He picked up a French fry under our table while eating. We went to the bathroom and came back out and he was standing over our food and had to tell him we weren’t done with it. I’ve never had a worker act like this. It was very strange. When we went to the playground, he kept standing by us while seated. He asked me if there was something wrong. I said no and asked if I could help him because he kept standing over our table awkwardly and following us. He took it offensively and walked away and told his friend or off duty coworker that “he better not say anything back or he’ll get in trouble.” Him and his friend were sitting in the playground afterwards making the playground an unpleasant experience.

The food was awful as well. The chicken nuggets were burnt. The French fries were VERY cold. I brought the fries back while eating and asked for a replacement. They said sure and took the old cold fries. I went back to my table and waited 5 minutes and never got the replacement. I had to go up to the counter 2 more times to get the replacement with no apology. The sweet tea was unsweetened in the lobby. I brought my cups to the front and told them it was unsweet. They took my cups and gave me more unsweet tea from behind the counter. I said thank you and the employee just looked at me rudely and said nothing back. We ended up just getting coke since it was plain to see that they were not going to fix it. On the way out with my children, 2 of the employees were laughing and cutting up by the one of two only entrance doors, which is fine, but was heard saying a curse word in front my children as leaving. This is not a family friendly place like it used to be. The guy harassing me and my children felt like we were not welcome. The food and drinks were not good and were cold. The employees hang around and curse. They will not fix...

As a previous employee I feel like I have to speak. I don't think customers know the whole story. We all fear one person in that store and it's the store manager. I will say when she is there everyone gets their orders quickly, but I don't think people fearing you is a good way to run a store. My favorite area was to be in back window and this morning I got "fired" after turning in my two week notice for wearing a beanie to cover my hair which I had done for a week prior. I had worked their previously with colored hair and wore a hat like I did today. NOTHING was said to me about it until this morning AFTER another girl came in to take my place at 7 am. She didn't pull me in the office, instead she confronted me in front of customers and employees. Talk about not professional. I had been spraying my hair with the black halloween spray but had ran out of money because I hadn't gotten my first check yet. Unhappy with my two week notice, my hair and the fact that I had a nose stud that I took out every day according to policy she told me not to come back. It's okay because I start my new job at mapco (accepting of my hair and my nose stud). Just saying don't act baffled that nobody wants to work there and you have a very high turn over rate. IT IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WORK. There are some great people there and there are bad people there. I hope whoever I have helped in back window had a good experience though. I always tried to fix whatever problem was mentioned to me whether it be the wrong order or not getting to complete...

NO STARS I only gave 1 star because it made me rate it! I used my app for the buy one get one free for the McCafe and I also had a promo paper coupon for a sandwich. The girl at the window said I couldn't use both. I explained to her I have done it several other times before with no problem. She got smart and said it doesnt matter what you have done before you are not allowed to do that. I said, yes you are. This has never been a problem. She caught a attitude and shut the window while I was still talking and said something to another girl that was near her. That girl comes to the window with a attitude and says whats the problem. Before I could say anything the first girl gets loud telling her again and the one that came up second says YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE BOTH! At this point I could have just paid for it but with the attitude they had I wasn't going to and she says you know what and slams the window and a manager comes to the window and says I'm sorry you can't do that and the store manager was behind her and says what can't she do? They tell her and the store manager says yes you can, if they are using a app and want to use a coupon also that is not a problem at all. The whole situation was ridiculous at best! I will not return to...
