My son and I are Wednesday night regulars. We used to swap back and forth between the Hummelstown location and the Anville location. The quality of the Hummelstown location had definitely declined and we stopped going there. My son is basically the Hoss's mascot as the entire waiting staff and managers have been watching my little guy grow up and now he is the center of attention for Wednesday nights. They're all amazing with us. A very special thanks to Lauryn, Erika, Essence, and Caitlyn who all make our Father/Son night an enjoyable evening without momma usually.
The waiting staff even remembered his birthday and made him a card. - It's awesome to see him light up when we are pulling up to the place for dinner. I'm pretty sure if I left him there with them, I could have no worries that he would be fine until the following Wednesday with them 🤣
Aside from the fact that the staff is great, the salad bar is very consistent with what they have to offer, unlike the Hummelstown location.
While many people avoid taking little ones out to eat due to their unpredictable moods, and worries of them acting up, Hoss's is by far one of the easiest places to go with little ones. Virtually no wait times, the salad bar gets food in front of them almost immediately without a 20 minute wait and the potential of a melt down waiting for the food to arrive.
In the solid year or so that we've been going we have had our share of moments of knocked over drinks and bad behavior, but the staff has never made us feel unwanted or judged while we work through the tough times. I'm very appreciative of it.
I'm glad we can share Wednesday night with our Hoss's family, and we hope to do it for many more...
Read moreThe only Hoss's left near my area is Annville. (I grew up going to the Elizabethtown location, then the Hummelstown location in high school and the Lititz location after college!) I can honestly say, I have never been disappointed at any Hoss's location (though dwindling these days) I'm 35 years old, and this has been my favorite "buffet" style eatery since I was 8 years old. The salad bar never disappoints, there are so many dressing options, topping options, and they have broadened their soup options since the 90's -no complaints! Though, my favorite soup will ALWAYS be their 'Chicken Noodle', 100% -the dessert bar is fun, really something for everyone and the icecream machine is still a hit, well into my adulthood. Adding the salad bar to any meal is such a customer $ saver, too! Fundraisers, gift cards, emailed coupons-Hoss's truly has it going on, and I am thankful that this Annville location still operates. I will patronize as long as it stays open!! Super busy on Sunday's but hardly any wait time! Large parking lot, and great food, even when they were down to only 2 cooks during my last visit- pay this hot spot a visit, you'll satisfy your crave for salad bar, soups and a dessert bar no problem- don't want any of that?? They have a FULL menu to choose from! Kudos for serving Dr....
Read moreI signed up on Hoss’s website and put my birthdate in there and they sent me a coupon for a free entrée up to $19. Now I’ve been to there before and always enjoyed my meal but this time I thought they have stepped up their game. The salad bar was clean and neat with lots of different things that I like. But I want to tell you about the waitress and I wish I would’ve gotten her name. I was going to get the salad bar and then for two dollars you can add hamburger. She recommend that I get the hamburger with fries and add a salad bar and it would be cheaper. Who does that? I thought that was very nice of her. The hamburger was made just right looked like they use fresh meat, And I like the way they fry them. The edges are fried a little harder not too much but just right to give you that little charred taste. My friend that came with got the stuffed steak and he thought it was very good as well. The place was neat and clean but I do think they’re due for a remodel. Thank you, Hoss’s for the free meal and we...
