I love coming here, the staff is so friendly and helpful. The products are quality and unique (for Antigo) it's nice to have this store here. The deodorant is amazing, only one I use now!

The Green Hen is a great place for natural hygiene products, food. and vitamins. The Luncheonette has fantastic food and is not much more than fast food. It's also much better for you.

I give this establishment one star not because of the products which are generally quite nice. I give it one star because of the shady workers here. They no longer accept EBT payments presumably due to a company system switch which is completely understandable as these changes do occur, however, I've speculated due to their demeanor towards customers they deem as, "beneath them" that this was done on purpose as an attempt to make them not want to come back to the store. To "weed out" those that make their establishment look "bad" for them, as they find them to be an embarrassment. To those who don't pay attention, and are just in and out, they won't see this, but to those that do, it couldn't be more obvious. It's a shame really, because their products are again, quite nice, and to knock out a group of customers based on their method of payment, whether company ordered or otherwise, is pretty absurd. Especially these days when food is becoming much more expensive. Not a great look. This just goes to show a smile and fast service does not mean you are a reputable business worthy of being praised. I will no longer be putting my hard earned money into this sort of establishment, or returning unless they change this back to accommodate loyal customers who've paid with their EBT cards for quite some time now. It's inexcusable at this point in time to behave this way, and it's time to be better to those less fortunate, because at any moment, it could be you using an EBT card to feed yourself. Your chronic superiority complexes are...

I work locally and our group has purchased lunches from the menu before and have not had a problem. Today was my first time in the store and I ordered take out from the counter for a gluten free wrap and also got a small cup of soup. The soup was good was labeled as beef vegetable (not one piece of meat in soup that I had) but when I opened my sandwich at work - I was completely shocked to see how little there was of "fillings" in my wrap. I had 1 slice of turkey- maybe 2 leaves of greens and 2 broken slices of bacon. I didn't even order cheese on it. The wrap was grilled and the total thickness of the wrap was just over 1/4". I have co-workers who regularly order similar and their wraps are always full of meats etc. To top it off -- the total for both the wrap and soup was almost $14 -- a complete rip off!! I had also purchased over $45 of other items and was hoping to purchase more products in the future, but after the rude treatment by staff and the shoddy food...after today they can kiss any future business from me good bye! I will purchase elsewhere or from out...

Best place in Antigo. Everything here is delicious! However, I would spend so much money here if more products were offered! I remember when there used to be more items for sale. In the past I bought wall signs, bath scrub, a sweater, jewelry, home bread, unique non-alcoholic beverages, and vintage candy (I would make a special trip to Antigo for these when the kids were a little) etc.. We don't live in the area but we try to stop whenever it is open. I've been disappointed that it isn't open on Sundays anymore, and when we've been fortunate enough to stop the stock is so depleted. I was just talking about this with my friend who travels through the area frequently and she had the similar opinion. We would literally spend so much...
