OMG my Absolute neighborhood favorite food joint. We've been here a few times now but today is the first day I got the combo box I'm picked up some hot food on the weekend. The husband and I coordinated combo so we can try a little bit of everything. Nothing disappointed. Everything was so flavorful. I would maybe turn vegetarian if I could afford to have them cook all my veggie meals. The buttered chicken was very good. Everyone knows my husband is die hard butter chicken guy. But after today, he says that curry tofu might be his new favorite. He also got the Chan masala and it was my favorite thing. Spicy smooth and buttery all at once. The lentils were off the hook and the saag paneer was also to my liking. We also ordered garlic naan and stayed a little over 2 minutes for them to make it fresh. Which was a GREAT decision. Because starting off your afternoon with freshly made hot naan could never not be awesome. They also have mango lassi Rose milk and Indian coffee. They started off making suites many years ago and just opened up the restaurant part. I really like the chickpea rolled snacks. If you're in the neighborhood do give them a try if you come before 3:00 you can get a lunch combo. The lunch combo is the best bank for buck in the neighborhood for your wallet...
Read moreThis restaurant is a little gem and was a surprise! Lovely atmosphere! Beautiful artwork! Gracious owners and workers! Awesome customer service and wonderful display of desserts! I love Indian food, but I have never had Indian desserts... and I've truly been missing out! Every single thing I ate was ridiculously delicious! I will mess a name up, so forgive me in advance, but the spinach dish, the bean dish, the paneer dish, and of course the Chana masala dish, along with the basmati rice and the naan... oooweee! This place DID NOT disappoint! We sampled the G dessert, which was shaped like and similar to a donut hole, but heartier, like a cornbread, but drenched in butter and some other slightly sweetness and warm... it was simply delightful! (Sorry, I don't remember the name, but if you describe it like that, I'm sure they'll know what you're talking about! Lol! I then ordered an Indian lemonade! Wow! Don't be fooled by the name! This drink is packed with so much good stuff... including peppers... I absolutely loved it and everything else...
Read moreLet me start by saying there’s not a lot of good Indian food options in the East County area. That’s why I’m so excited about this place - the food is fantastic.
We tried some options from the small lunch buffet (we chose butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, and channa masala), plus an order of gobi manchurian. We also tried the mango lassi and some sweets.
We’ve had disappointing Indian food at other places where the flavors are flat, bland, one-dimensional, and just missing something. That is not the case here. Every single item we tried was full of complex, delicious flavor that just hits the spot. Some places have that magic “it factor” to their food, some don’t. This place definitely has it. You know it has it when you want to drink all the sauces 😅
The place itself is on the small side (only has a few tables for dine-in) and is run by a nice family. I hope this business thrives...
