Unfortunately I expected a little more from this restaurant but an employee there I don't know if she didn't like me or if she was just not having a good day I arrived at 8:15 the restaurant opens at 8:30 I arrived with my parents and my daughter who had come from far away to visit me when we arrived there were only 3 families before us waiting for it to open after they opened she started seating the first families when it was my turn she asked who's next and to this I answered us well she just grabbed the menus and walked well I didn't hear her say follow me or we'll give you this table over here well we followed her and she gave us a table in the center and then she continued seating the other people all in the boosts on the edge of the restaurant well after everyone was seated she started taking orders from everyone she seated in the boosts and since I saw that we were the 4th family that had arrived it didn't seem fair to me that she didn't take the orders order of arrival when I saw that she approached one of the tables where we were and I said “ excuse me, do you know that I noticed that you took all the orders even from the families that arrived after us and I think that it was fair that you had to take them in order of arrival” to this she answered me “there's only me” and I said yes I understand you but I think it's logical that you had to take the orders in order of entry and then she repeats to me “there's only me taking the orders do you really want to talk about this tell me what you want to order” I answered I understand but ok until I called you did you remember that we were here “again she tells me let's talk about this ? or are you going to tell me that you are going to order” well I didn't repeat anything else and I gave her the order then I told my family that I don't feel well about staying to eat here anymore, everyone agreed and we decided to leave. Not all the employees there are like that. I've been there often, but that woman always treated me reluctantly whenever I came. I think they should let her go because when you're not comfortable working in a place related to work with a lot of people , find a job where you feel comfortable working, not one that has to do with customer service, if you know that's...
Read moreI had high hopes for this visit, but unfortunately, it fell short on nearly every front.
Arrival & Environment: Parking was relatively convenient, just a block away. However, the walk to the restaurant was uncomfortable—passing a few homeless encampments and groups gathered in the park with off-leash pitbulls. It’s not the most welcoming entrance.
The view from the restaurant is beautiful, even with the row of parked cars partially obstructing it. Still, there’s potential here for a relaxing riverside experience—but the energy wasn’t that. What I thought would be a peaceful brunch had more of a day-party vibe. Loud music, people dancing—it’s great if that’s what you’re looking for, but it wasn’t the experience I wanted.
Service: Very slow and disorganized. I waited over 10 minutes before anyone offered water or even acknowledged me. The couple at the table ahead of me were visibly irritated—one guest got up to grab their own silverware. No clear system, no flow.
When a server did arrive, she didn’t introduce herself and seemed confused when I asked for bottled water. After a bit of back and forth, I settled for sparkling. Still, it took nearly 40 minutes to get my food.
Food: Honestly, the food was a letdown.
Crab Benedict: Cold imitation crab, soft potatoes, lukewarm waffle, and a random plantain tossed on the plate. The only warm item was the egg.
Lemon Ricotta Pancake: Good flavor but cold, which made it less enjoyable.
It all felt like it had been sitting in the back, forgotten. I ended up asking for my check without finishing my meal. $42 for a plate I couldn’t eat feels unreasonable.
Final Notes: The staff was friendly but clearly overwhelmed and not very attentive. I ordered a latte to-go and—just like the food—it was cold. I had to ask for my server multiple times and never saw her again.
Bottom Line: If you're coming for the music and the party atmosphere, this might be your spot. But if you're looking for quality food and attentive service in a relaxing brunch setting, I'd...
Read moreIf you are in need of a greasy sandwich and fries to cure last night's hangover, or a fresh baked sugar bomb, then this is the place for you.
Typical fried bar food lunch staples and diner egg dishes with some new spin are the best things on the menu besides the decadent homemade sweets and pastries.
I arrived at 11am in a party of 4. There were 5 or 6 open tables inside and more outside. A server checked on us twice to tell us a hostess would be by shortly. The hostess arrives and says she will follow us to a table and as we approach the nearest one we realize it has not been cleaned. So now the whole party and the hostess are standing in the center of the dining room next to other tables as we wait for a table to be cleared. Once sat, our drink order was taken right away but the server did not come back to take the food order until 15min later. It's a beautiful view and we appreciated the longer time to take it in as we waited. The food arrived about 20min after we placed the order except for my dish which did not show for another 10min.
I ordered the Grilled Veggie Sandwich and if you like bread, cheese, and char-less, seasonless (not even a speck of salt), limp veggies then this sandwich is amazing. The fresh ciabatta bread is absolutely the best part of the dish but it was untoasted and soft just like the melting cheese and sad seasonless squash, bell pepper, onion, and spinach so it was like paying $25 to eat a bland pillow. I thought soup would go well with it but was disappointed to learn that the soup of the day was broccoli-cheddar which feel's like a kid's menu choice? So I ordered the only other healthy option which was a green salad.
So you can see where I went wrong. I should have ordered eggs and bacon, or a burger and fries and I am certain I would have had an excellent time. If you are in the mood for a cocktail or you are looking for an unhealthy meal with a view and slow service to take it all in, then this...
