I've been to this Dairy Queen before and I've ordered a Snickers blizzard. You know vanilla ice cream with candy pieces. Pretty standard stuff. That's what I ordered yesterday. A large with extra snicker for almost 8 dollars. I get the blizzard home and it's Phoenix so some of it has melted a little so I put it in the freezer. When I get it out it's chocolate ice cream with snickers. I call and explain the situation and ask if I can come exchange it and the boy on the phone says that all Snickers blizzards come like that. He said they come in chocolate ice cream and that's how they're taught to make it. I said I've been ordering Snickers Blizzards for how many years and it's always vanilla ice cream unless asking otherwise. But no he keeps arguing. I say we'll on the menu it should specify them that it comes with chocolate ice cream because I don't like chocolate ice cream I wouldn't have ordered it that way. He says I can't bring it back they're closed anyway. Well it was about 8:50 and I'm like 2 minutes away and they don't close until 9:00. He tells me to call back today when I the manager is in. So I call back today and the manager is not in but the same boy tells me that he'll text the manager call him back. So now they tell me that since this happened yesterday I can bring it back but they won't replace it. They will give me a discount to order another. Since it's a day old they wont replace it? Huh? so were you gonna feed it to someone else? Because if you're just trying to right a wrong then you would throw it away and make me a new one anyway. Some places when that happened might even been to say just keep that one will make you a correct one. Not this place. Even if you're willing to call them back twice to try and right it. Even if you have to transport it back and forth. They still won't make this right. That says a lot. I told them I'd be leaving a review and met with a nasty "go ahead". Wow!! Dairy Queen. This is what you're OK with a franchise being! Guess I'll be doing Sonic blasts going forward!! One bad Dairy Queen experience really ruins it for any further...
Read moreMy wife bought a 10 inch ice cream cake for my sons birthday last Friday 2/24. (purchased Thurs 2/23) I got halfway thru cutting and serving the cake when my son mentioned it seemed weird on his tongue so I tried a piece. It was completely freezer burnt all of the way through! We couldn't eat any of it. I saved the other half of the $30 cake so I could go back the next day. My wife spoke with a girl who claimed to be the assistant manager and explained what had happened. She told me complaints like that had to be dealt with by the general manager. She took down my contact info and said she would get a call Monday. It is now Wed. and I have still not heard back so I called once again this evening. I spoke with a man who said he was the owner. In a heavy broken accent I was told to just cut the frost bitten parts off and that we need to learn how to prepare it ahead of time. EXCUSE ME?!?! My wife a full time restaurant manager and I was a chef for a very long time. We both know how to properly handle food and guest complaints! This is ridiculous! We buy these for every holiday since my kids do not like cake. I know how to let them rest before serving and I know what freezer burnt product tastes like. Clearly the owner of this location needs a lesson on proper food storage, product rotation, use by dates, and customer service skills! DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION! He got a heavy dose of karma smashed...
Read moreI went there to celebrate with a blizzard since I had purchased coupons for a small buy one get one free. And upon handing the man my money I handed him the said coupon. At this point of time he tells me that they aren’t Dairy Queen coupons, which they were and have accepted them before, and that he can’t accept it. At this time I’m confused because this hasn’t happened before and they are legitimate coupons. So upon him saying he won’t take it I kindly asked for my money back to go somewhere else. The guy looks at me and then closes the window and takes the $20 I handed him right before the coupon and heads to the register!!!! I would understand if he seemed confused but he was just being rude! The nice lady came over to ask us which order we had to make sure it was the correct one and I told her what we wanted and what had just happened. She further explain that they only take online coupons and retrieved the money from the dude. I then left and called my grandma to tell her and she said that there was an old rude guy that told her the same thing, but she didn’t hand him the money first. I have no idea who this dude is but the service from him is rude and unacceptable!!! Thank you to the young...
