Iām a person who reads reviews prior to entry to an establishment so thank you to those who contributed. I read a lot of people mention small portion size. However, during my visit this Thursday afternoon we received decent portions of ice cream. The 2 way cookie or something like that was my favorite by far! They had a 50/50 split of exotic vs. ātraditionalā.
The staff greeted us upon entry. The lady staff member was friendly and the male worker was very mask-like so maybe a little shaping with his people skills? It goes a long way working in customer service. Nonetheless they were attentive and helpful as first time guests to the establishment.
The waffle cone was very flavorful in conjunction with my choice of ice cream. However I would like to note it wasnāt properly folded as it continuously leaked.
Iām not of fan of the metal sample spoons for personal preference. I just Imagine 2,000 mouths on 1 spoon, but I digress. A lot of companies are transitioning to metal spoons. Iāll be back to give them another try towards the end...

However, Iām giving this place 3 stars due to a deeply uncomfortable interaction with an employee. A young skinny blonde man with a sort of long nose, who was an employee handing out samples of in-house made waffle chips, completely ignored me (Korean) and my Chinese girlfriend. Despite us trying to make eye contact, he offered free chips to everyone around us but not to us. There were no other Asians around us. This was very deliberate in trying to skip us. It was hard not to feel invisible and uncomfortable, and it raised concerns about whether this establishment values inclusivity.
Thankfully, other staff members were kind and attentive, but after that experience, Iām hesitant to return if this is considered acceptable by the establishment. I would be more than willing to change my rating to 5 stars if this issue...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame by a few minutes before close, which I admit wasnāt very courteous on our part. We fully expected that they may be closed by the time we arrive or maybe have limited stock remaining for the few minutes we may have left.
What I would not have expected to have been met by was the girl at the register telling us in quite a rude tone, āWeāre closed and not taking any more customers.ā Having worked food service, I understand being tired and run down at the end of a shift - I cannot understand being rude to potential customers before closing time because of it.
I have experienced decent service and even good ice cream at this location in the past, however, the run in with this person that I personally would not want representing my business, has soured any warm feelings I held for their cold products. I do not...
