McDonald's — Restaurant in Apex

Stopped at my halfway point of my travels. Needed to get some dinner. McDonald's attached to the Amoco convenience store was my choice. I placed my order at the kiosk: A custom McDouble cheeseburger, large half & half iced tea, and apple pie & strawberry/cream cheese pie(combo). A gentleman at the counter took my money and confirmed my order. There were three other workers there. One was preparing food orders, one was stocking bags & other necessary paper products, the third was expediting drinks and drive-thru orders. I waited patiently for my order to be filled. AFTER I had my tea, and noticed my sandwich was ready, was I informed there were not any pies ready. I asked how long to prepare them; reply 7 minutes. To this I told the young lady just give me another McDouble, regular. The woman, who'd been stocking the paper products, had taken the pies out of the freezer to cook. I told her point blank I didn't want them. Then the gentleman who had taken my money returned to the counter, puzzled I was STILL there...waiting on my food. I usually go to this Mcdonalds when I do go, its right by where I work. Usually i give this place 10/10. Ive only ever had one issue and it was quickly resolved and handled with professionalism and speed. Everyone is usually estatic and happy to help you.

Yet today. I was impressed by the speed of my service.. but when you place a curbside order, park when you are there, and your order is to you in just a few minutes it should be fantastic, right?

I care little that my fries are cold, it is mainly the fact that usually the employees greet you, no big conversation, just a happy 'Hello!'. Today i had the pleasure of being served by a young blonde woman who merely approached my care, said not a word, and looked almost disgusted to hand me my food. Perhaps she is having a rough day, but i just think professionalism goes a long way with people.

I will more than likely continue to eat here due to convenience, but I hope this McDonalds has a crash course in customer interaction. Im not upset, just something I found interesting because out of every restraunt around here, this is the first time...

I’m leaving a one star review because there is no way I could leave less than that. According to google they close at 11, apparently the staff decided to close earlier than that. I went there at 10:40 and the screen was off, since I saw staff inside and the second window in the drive through was open I decide to stop by the window, around 2 minutes later a lady yelled at another person “there is a customer at the window” to which the other person responded “it is ok, make them wait until they leave” (all of it in Spanish not knowing I speak Spanish). Around 10:55 seeing that I was still there, a guy came to me and told me they were closed, I told him they were supposed to close at 11 and that I was there for 15 minutes already and that a lady saw and completely ignore my presence. I would definitely not recommend coming to...
