Shocked how many ppl said they were so nice!

He was extremely rude when I came by.

I went in to get a Togo menu, so we could analyze and strategically determine the damage we were going to make when we go back for dinner.

The older gentleman who answered was so RUDE! Those days are over, just go to the website...okay, stupid move in my opinion, but okay. It's a small franchise, okay you get a pass bc that's just extra cost, etc...So, I tried to take a picture of the menu on the wall of the menu, we don't allow you to take pictures either. Go to the website, okkkkay. Can't take a picture of the wall size menu either. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Final straw for me, you just don't want any business sir! Acting like a mean old grumpy man. So, yeah shocked with this niceness everyone else is seeing.

What's the website??? Response: Just Google Max and Me and it will pop up.

....Little does he know, Max and Meme pops up! Another restaurant, I had to go back and search again....all to say, I hate bad customer service!

Next, it doesn't look very clean in the restaurant, pretty much what you see on the pictures posted here.... Needless to say, I recently moved and passed this place and looks like I'll continue doing just that passing by!

Just thought I'd drop my review along the way.

Never tasted the food, we didn't even get...

Living in Miami probably makes my opinion very biased, because I’m surrounded by some of the best Caribbean food in the United States. With that being said, I thought it was unacceptable that most of my food was barely warm, If not cold. My plantains were cold in the middle, and I ordered the fried chicken, which technically had some of the best breading I’ve ever tasted in my life, but the chicken wasn’t even warm. Now the rice and peas should be a centerpiece of any Jamaican restaurant, but I didn’t taste the coconut milk, the rice was mushy, and there was only like two peas in the whole dish. I love supporting local restaurants and went out of my way to try this small local establishment because I believe in supporting local, but I would be concerned about the food not being proper temperature. With that being said, I ate all of my food because I’ll eat anything, anywhere, any time and never seem to get sick but those with a delicate stomach should...

As a born Jamaican. I will never buy here again. I’m wondering if the review is good because people in the area don’t know what Jamaican food should taste like. First red peas soup that watery with no flavor. I could count the peas in the soup. The soup had more carrots than peas. I also got rice and peas and fry chicken. The rice and peas was soft but it was missing flavor. The food was not horrible it just had no flavor/lack of seasoning . The lady at the counter was nice. I was so disappointed. I was really looking towards the soup too and I threw it away. I could not drink it. The rice and peas and fry chicken wasn’t completely bad. I give it a hard 5 out of 10. It just needs some more seasoning and flavor. To get authentic Jamaican food, I’ll stick with Negril in Orlando or something things from golden crus Or I will...

Really great food! We had the oxtail meal and the curry chicken, along with fried dumpling/pastry (tasted like a magical donut, but even better, because it was closer to bread than cake). The food had rich, complex flavors. The meat was falling off the bones! The fried plantains, perfect! My first forkful of the side cabbage, in the meal, I thought they would be plain and overcooked. No! They were filled with magical umami. Really delicious. The gentleman who took our order was from Jamaica, super friendly and recommended everything "Food of the Gods" - and he was right! Next time we're in the area, we will definitely go back. The inside is tiny, the outside has enough seating. It's a small "mom and pop" type place that I would highly recommend!

OK this is getting ridiculous. I paid $26 for this portion of chicken??? Now I remember why I stopped eating out unless I am going to a 4+ star restaurant, which is not often. The portion contained 1/4 chicken of mostly bones. What we are accepting these days is the unacceptable. Flavor was OK, but as a lover of Jamaican food, meh. As another customer previously stated, the plantains were very mushy; they are being held too long. I want to support our local businesses, but I'm tired of getting ripped off.
