Been ordering take-out from this restaurant once a week ever since they opened several years ago. It's geared towards take-out but has minimal seating for patrons within the restaurant. Pretty basic and nothing fancy, but the food is good, the prices reasonable and the serving sizes on the generous side. Mr. Ang, the proprietor and (presumably) head cook, always greets customers with a smile.
Easy 5-star rating!
EDIT (2024/01/07): Dropping my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars.
I had not been to East China since the start of Covid, but decided to order a lunch special from them a few days ago. So it'd been a few years since my last visit. Compared with pre-Covid, the prices have risen drastically while the serving size has noticeably shrunk. Yes, I understand, East China isn't immune from the effects of inflation. What I found disappointing, however, is the quality of their food has dropped significantly. I ordered my usual dish, pepper steak with onion, and noticed the meat was gristly and didn't taste fresh at all, and the fried rice had a weird, chemical odor and taste. The included spring roll was tiny, with a rubbery texture indicating it was obviously deep fried...

Two meals have been off to the point of almost inedible. The meats in the dishes don't taste fresh anymore, I believe the meats are all cooked frozen because meats are now either tough or chewy. The vegetables are also not as bright and fresh either. I have thrown a couple of dishes away without wanting to finish them. So uncommon from years ago. Throwing away half of a $50 order isn't right. If it got better I'd go back, but I won't order here again to find out.
2016: Best Chinese food I've had in a long time. Delivery is always hot and the ingredients are fresh. The vegetables are crunchy even...
Read moreWe just moved to the area and were looking for good Chinese delivery. Not only were the prices phenomenal and the portions generous, but the taste was INCREDIBLE. We ordered 2 combo plates, (General Tso Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken.) They both came with rice and an egg roll. Everything tasted fresh and the veggies in the dishes were amazing. We also ordered cream cheese wontons on the side. Solid decision. They've earned themselves 3, new fans.
Edited 9/2014: Really, really, slow service. We took a chance and ordered again after a very poor experience the last time. (They get lost constantly. Always an excuse.) Delivery times of an hour or more. So bummed....
