Carmine’s Pizzeria — Restaurant in Appomattox

My daughter ordered two pocket sandwiches . When she got home with the sandwiches they were not what she ordered. Her first time picking up food from Carmines. She told them sauce on the side. When she got home with food was no sauce and they never told her that she could pick out chips. We called back out there to restaurant and told them the sandwiches were wrong and where was the sauce they then said there was no sauce they were out. Then why didn't you say this in the first place? We then ask for sandwiches to be remade correctly or get a refund. After they hung up three times in a row. They went on to say that there manager would not let them do a refund or remake sandwiches. So we was stuck with two sandwiches that were not made correctly with no sauce and were made with no gloves on. Very disappointed with the two girls working there today. It was not our fault that they could not correctly make a sandwich. As they sniggled...

Small ma and pa kinda place, young girl upfront working was very sweet.

Very hot and stuffy inside like no air circulation in there at all. No way could I eat inside or even imagine the people having to work in their !

Pizza just was not good. I asked for a touch crispier on bottom but not as in " burnt crispy" I even said that . I get pizza like this all the time at other places with no issues. Not to mention The cheese was so greasy even though pizza was burned it was mushy from grease in the middle. I have had pizza from all around and never one greasy like this . Pizza should not be wet and greasy and not crispy .

This could be a nice little place with some changes and higher quality ingredients for sure . Hopefully things will work out to improve as this area needs good pizza cause dominoes and pizza hut are not real pizza but sadly this place needs improvement to be good...

Just ordered pick up from this place- first time ordering ever, regardless of the 5 other pizza places in Appomattox we chose this one. I walked into the restaurant and spoke with the girl at the front, telling her the name for pick up. She said the pizza was still in the oven. However, after waiting 20 minutes, we still hadn’t received our order. Turns out, it had been sitting the entire time, ready for pick up. No apology was offered and we left with our pizza that was not fresh and ready at this point. Came home to eat chewy pizza, and the margherita pizza that now I know has zero cheese except for the sporadic mozzarella placed on it. Won’t order...
