The layout and ordering system here are ridiculous. Had to literally squeeze through a 4-inch gap just to reach booth seating. Order by scanning QR codes, but if customers switch them, it causes order mix-ups. While the staff are genuinely nice, they're working with a really inefficient system for handling orders and customer traffic.
The food is OK - everything's just 水煮 (water-boiled) in the same spicy oil broth. Even their namesake 冒菜, while rare outside specific regions of China, isn't anything special. The broth is decent enough that I'd consider taking it home to upgrade some instant noodles, but that's about it. The chicken wings were super-dry, that they shrunk in size.
