So we normally have our regular sushi spots. Saw this place with a 4.9 rating and decided to dine here. I guess the place is relatively new. Not much parking in front. It's a small parking lot. There is plenty of parking in the back. Walking in I was really impressed. The place has a nice and welcoming vibe. We really liked the decor. It's really simple but not too overwhelming. The staff are super nice and really attentive. Also they are super knowledgeable about the menu. They were really sweet to our 9 month old daughter which was nice. To be honest you really do get what you pay for. Every piece of sushi was immaculate and high quality fish. I've been to a lot of sushi places and this one has to be the best one so far by a long shot. With the atmosphere/vibe, paired with amazing chefs and waitresses plus the high quality sushi this place is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. I'm definitely coming back here. Just have to save up a bit since it is a bit pricey but you really get the amazing quality food and service. Not to mention the alcohol selection is too notch as well. For beer I recommend the Echigo rice beer. For sake we got the koshi no kanbai tokusen sake which was really smooth with a nice fragrant finish. All in all of give this place a 10 of 10. Definitely a place to go if you really do enjoy high quality sushi and...
Read moreNew Japanese fusion restaurant serving innovative sushi dishes. I ordered Omakase for my first visit. You could use online waiting list.
They served an octopus slice, jellyfish with vinegar, fish livers, and fish eggs as appetizers (refer to picture). Following the appetizers, they served snapper with olive oil as a starter. This dish was not very impressive due to its overly tart flavor, which overshadowed the freshness and was a bit too strong before the main sushi dishes
Total of eight pieces of sushi, each with sauce and garnish. The sushi rice was too mushy and sticky, which was a huge disappointment. I was expecting tuna toro, but they don't serve tuna toro with Omakase. They did serve tuna sushi, but it wasn't fatty enough and was quite tedious. The scallop with sea urchin sushi was the only dish I liked from their sushi offerings.
Pasta with Uni (sea Urchin) and fish egg is very flavorful but portion size is quite small. Dessert is ice cream and the ice cream is a great ending.
The service was fine. They were very busy, and my tea cup was always empty. I will try to order their sushi lunch box but...
Read moreThe food and service was wonderful. This reminds me of sushi-gen sushi/sashimi set. It’s plenty of food and you will be full.
The mentaiko mazmen (noodles with cod roe sauce and truffle oil) this dish was amazing 🤩. I would come back just for this but the sashimi was so good too. The spicy tuna and crispy rice is a must get app. We ended our meal the shio ice cream and matcha cream brûlée. The shio was so good but the matcha was a little watery.
The reason I can’t give the service a 5 star is because there were plenty of tables and we didn’t get seated for a party of 3 until the 3rd person came.
The parking was a small lot but you could find street parking.
The ambiance is clean and background music was soft so you don’t have to talk over it.
Definitely will come back and recommend this place to my...
