Let me start by saying that we regularly dine here and normally have a great experience. However, this most recent visit was highly disappointing and embarrassing that we brought our family here. We brought our family to eat dinner here while they were in town visiting us. We got a male waiter named Aldo(?) that we normally don't have, and our service was extremely lacking. We had 7 people at our table, and we started off ordering drinks, and asked for an order of tableside guacamole, Aldo told us that they were out of avocados. We were suprised (it was a Tuesday) and questioned him asking "You guys have no avocados at all? wow" and he said that yes, that was correct. We then tried to place an order of appetizer taquitos with shredded beef, to which he told us they were out of shredded beef. No problem, we ordered the chicken instead. Well, a little while later I thought I saw a side of Guacamole on someone's plate passing by our table. So, when we saw one of our regular waitress' (Azalea) walk by, I asked her if they were seriously out of avocados. She looked surprised, and said no, we have plenty of them! I told her that we tried ordering tableside guacamole & our waiter told our table the restaurant had NO avocados. Azalea then went and spoke with our waiter & he then returned to our table with the magically appearing avocados and proceeded to make us our tableside guacamole. He didn't apologize or anything. I cannot believe he would LIE because he is lazy and didn't want to make the tableside guacamole!! wow! Then we also found out, they DID have shredded beef!... unbelievable. One of my family members had ordered a margarita at the same time as our regular drinks, to which I had to remind him 30 minutes later that her drink was still missing. Aldo was the worst waiter we've had at this place, he did not seem like he wanted to work at all, and frequently went missing for long periods of time, we also saw him chatting at the bar multiple times for long periods of time. When we needed things we had to start to ask Azalea for assistance with getting our drink refills, and other items that were needed for the table. Azalea helped us with an attentive & great attitude even though we weren't her table. Lesson learned, if you dine here, make sure to sit in Azalea's section! She...
Read moreThe restaurant has great Decor and is right off of State Road 70 in Arcadia. Our waitress was very attentive. She was friendly and pleasant , but quick and to the point. We had absolutely no problems with the service. The chips and hot sauce were free but the sauce was way watered down and could be best described as soupy. The sauce would just run off of your chips unless you had a spoon in a curved chip you might be able to make it work. I ordered the house Margaritas which were two for one special of the day. The house tequila was Juarez and if you know anything about tequila it is a very cheap brand. It is not a 100% agave tequila. If the name of your bar is going to be Azul Tequila you would think your house tequila would be a 100% blue tequila... or even maybe a better brand of tequila. Behind the bar I did notice Don Julio , Patron, Cazadores, Tres Generations and Cabo wabo. When I tasted, the margarita it was obviously premix and a little too sweet, very little hint of tequila at all. If this place wanted to set itself apart, using fresh limes and agave nectar could have been perfect. Two of the cokes that were brought to the table or a little flat and overly sweet tasting as well. The wait time for our food was appropriate and they serve very large portions. If you leave hungry, there's something wrong with you. The food was pretty good and for seven of us to eat , we spent roughly $100 that included one Margarita and one Corona on the order. If the hot sauce and drinks would have been better definitely would have been a 4-star rating. I would give it another try and if you're in the area you should...
