La Michoacana Paleteria — Restaurant in Arcadia

Eye catching pink and purple ice cream restaurant right off the main highway in Arcadia. They offer an astounding variety of ice cream flavors and unique ice cream treats. The ice cream is freshly made in house from natural ingredients. The "Paleteria" means popsicle--big chunky frozen ice cream popsicles, frozen bananas and more going on than I could catalog. I wimped out for two scoops of cotton candy and coconut in a waffle cone. My wife got taro and changos (cinammon). One son got a waffle bowl Tres Marias super sundae with everything on it. I stopped by on recommendation by a fellow compatriot, i do not normally stop in small areas to eat. But i am glad i did. Even though i do not, unfortunately, speak Español, the staff however was accommodating and ridiculously friendly and helpful. The ice cream, of the zillion options avaliable, was delicious. I'm usually very picky about rating. If I dont like somewhere I went I wouldn't rate at all. But I know this place is going to be a great memory for my kids when they grow up and hopefully is still around. It's an enjoyment to sit and eat ice cream on a hot summer day inside the a/c watching your kids look around at all the vibrant colors and the decorations with a smile on their face.
