McDonald's — Restaurant in Arcadia

I haven’t stopped here for quite some time. Unfortunately, my previous service has been underwhelming and the food is not good at all. I normally I would get cold wilted french fries and a soggy sandwich so I’ve stopped going. I stopped tonight for a frappe for my ride to lacrosse. The girl answered quickly and apologized for the wait which was impressive so I was hoping everything else would be great also. There were two cars in front of me I waited for quite some time for the first car to get their food. Then I waited for some time for the second car to get their food. When it was my turn at the window the manager took my money and gave me my change and walked away from the window. I could see my frappe sitting on the counter? Not sure why he walked away from me? But I waited. Another girl finally came to the window and gave me my frappe which was now melted. I suggested that they ask the people waiting for food to pull up and off to the side so those of us getting ice cream or frappe‘s or just a drink could get it and move on and get out of their way. She said she didn’t work the window so she couldn’t do anything about it and kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain this to her. So I did ask her to please give the message to the manager who had just walked away from the window from me. It’s unfortunate that business like McDonalds struggles in a town with as many people as we have. Something as simple as moving a couple cars and having two customers wait rather than the two customers, myself and the three cars behind me seems like a small step in the right direction? And I do agree there are young kids working there, but those are people being trained so I believe this is a management fix and training opportunity! I believe everybody can “Bloom where they are...

It was incredible how BAD this place was. I ordered a cheeseburger happy meal for my daughter and a cheeseburger, small fry and milk for me. I had substitutions on the cheeseburger, but I've done it plenty of times before at other locations. I wanted a quarter pounder bun and add Mac sauce on it. First, when I was ordering, a couple of people didn't think they could do that. They had to get 3 people to take my order. Then, when they brought out our meal, I didn't even have a burger! My daughter had her burger, fries, and toy. No juice, no apple slices or go-gurt. We started eating, I'm like are they going to bring my burger? My daughter's like, I want my juice, Mommy! I'm like yeah, where's half our order??? I go up, I'm like, I need my daughter's juice and my burger! Get the juice and a generic burger, give her the juice, check the burger, of course it's not right, go back up, they say, oh yeah, we forgot to put the sticker on it. I'm thinking, you did more than that! You have to actually add the substitutions too! So they make a new burger, we go eat, etc, we're get ready to leave, and I'm like, where's her apple slices? I was so busy trying to fix all the things WRONG with our meal, that I totally forgot her apple slices too yet! We never did get them. I didn’t want to deal with it, so we just left. May they just had an off day, but check your order when...

Staff are very friendly to me and I have never really had an issue with them. Anything they have done wrong they have made up for. Probably because I use to work here and I try to avoid busy hours such as lunch since staff can be stressed at those times. If you do come here do know that they are extremely understaffed a lot of the time (seems like a lot of small town McDonald's stores are) and there will be a wait. Especially late at night when there may be only one person in the kitchen and one person up front. Most are just kids/young adults so I do give them a break, they're trying their best with what they have.

Also if you want tenders you have to beat the lunch rush as they are only allowed to thaw out so many for a day and once they are all cooked they're out until the next batch is all thawed out...unless, of course, you want salmonella. Many of the times they cannot control what they may or may not have so don't get all bent out of shape when they do not have...
