Mom's Diner & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Archbold

I usually don’t post stuff like this but my family had a horrible experience here today. My grandma has taken my mom and kids and I out to eat here for years, and we have had large family get togethers here yearly like 20 plus people so have spent plenty of money here over the years and never had any problems always had great food no complaints and everyone was kind. The last time we were there maybe a month ago we had a different waiter one that we usually don’t have and there wasn’t really any problems just my moms taco salad the taco meat was ice cold and my mom asked if they could warm it up and didn’t think it would be a big deal that’s the first time we have ever said anything about an issue with the food ever and they offered to make her a new salad and everything seemed fine. Well today we walked in my grandma, mom, uncle, and my three kids and we sat down to order and the same waitress comes up and said that the manager wanted to speak with us at the counter. So we all walk back there and the two men behind the counter the manager and owner start being rude to my grandma and mom and told us that we’re not welcome there anymore because the waitress complained about us and made up a lie saying that we never tipped her, my grandma has always left a generous tip and we have been nothing but kind and respectful there. They were yelling at them and treating them so poorly right in front of my kids and others there. Anyone who has met my grandma and mom knows how kind and wonderful they are and for them to be treated this way is completely unacceptable. I have always loved Moms Diner since my grandma started taking me there as a kid. I moved out of town a year or so ago, and the restaurant has definitely changed. The atmosphere is amazing and very unique like no other, but they definitely have developed their flaws. First of all, they have changed some songs in the juke box due to other ones going out. The replacement music though, does not go with the theme of the restaurant, it was rock. So don’t waste your quarters on the juke box, you will pick a song and a different one will play and you can’t even hear the music when it is playing because they have turned the volume so low, you would only hear it if the restaurant is completely quiet. Second of all, they have raced their prices tremendously. It used to be 6 and some change for a quarter of a sub (small portion), to 8 dollars. You can go to subway and get a better and bigger sub for that price. They have replaced the homemade chips with a small bag of lays. What a great place to eat. The chicken bacon ranch was very tasty on a fresh bun. The waitress was friendly, fast, and efficient. Here's the oh no what? The 12" sub with no drink. Was $16.37 yep that's the out the door price. There was a charge placed on my credit card of .55 cents. I had cash but was never asked or told about the charge. I asked after the fact what this fee was. I thought the cashier was going to come unglued on me. She spoke very rudely "its posted and it's been on there a year were not paying for you using a credit card it cost us way to much you get a rebate from your own card" I said to her I'm not from here my first time back in about 2 years and I didn't see any signs I pointed around register. So, the way way over priced sandwich charged tax and a .55 cent fee because they are "doing the public a favor supplying a credit card machine" I'd be happy using American currency cash if anyone wants to know it's something I carry still I'm old.
