Jimmy's Egg — Restaurant in Ardmore

Well to start, my wife and I like Jimmy's Egg. But the last 2 times coming here have been an experience of excuses and bad service. Last time we had burnt food and eggs not cooked properly. We talked to the manager who said they have new cook and please come back. Well today wecame back and I'll be we waited 17 mins to be recognized, no hi, hello, just a sign PLEASE SEAT YOURSELF. Well waiting 17 and the only reason is I stood up and said is there anyone working this section and then they realized they may want to pay attention to the dinning area. Then we seen our server 3 times when we received our food, second cup of coffee, and our check. Now the radio in the dinning area is on and very nicely playing the kitchen had radio blasting so loud we couldn't hear the radio in dinning area. I must admit this place was pretty decent. I’m giving them a five star for my short time in the area. I drove about a half an hour just to see what the food was like. They had everything especially southern food for me. Of course South Florida I had the grits, the ham, the bacon, the eggs, the sausage, potatoes,the pancakes, one of their pancakes, was like a cinnamon roll like it had the syrup inside the pancake, so there was no need to even pour syrup on the pancake that was awesome I mean it was pretty decent and I literally stayed in the pancake where it was just I think it was cooked with the pancake. Several different waitresses, walked by me without a second look , I finally flagged one down and got a cup of coffee , another 5 minutes after asked a group of waitresses if I had to place my order myself a couple said yes so I started to place my order though the servers window . By then a lady asked me if I have been helped. So I ordered a ham steak breakfast. The ham "steak" was less the a quarter inch thick ON ONE side , the other side got smaller down to 1/16 (FLAT) . eggs were good, grits were good, toast was good. The ham and eggs breakfast was a bust , because the meat was a joke .
