I came here over the weekend when visiting the casino. The area it is located in is nice and very open. I was seated almost immediately as there was hardly anyone there, and the waiter I had was very nice, so no complaints about the service whatsoever. The food was mediocre at best, I had ordered the tacos and they were so bland. Didn’t even have a hint of seasoning to them, not even salt. The rice was really dry in my opinion and the beans were alright. I’m just glad they gave a seared jalapeño on the side so I was able to get some flavor in the dish. The green salsa that was given with the dish didn’t have much going on, but the waiter did give me a spicy Chipotle red salsa I believe. It wasn’t outrageously expensive, $16.50 for two big tacos with rice and beans but definitely would’ve been better if the meat was seasoned. I think a meal like this would’ve been like $10 anywhere else, but we were in a hotel/casino so prices are usually increased.
My sister had a carne asada burrito with the same sides, only thing she disliked was that her burrito literally only consisted of meat, there were no other ingredients in there. And when asked if she wanted red or green salsa for her burrito, she believed it was going to be on the side (or maybe inside the burrito), only to find out when it came to the table that they put the salsa on top of the burrito, covering the tortilla. It was nearly impossible for her to eat the burrito without making a mess due to the sauce being on the outside so she had to use a knife and fork. She also ordered a margarita. In total it was about $54 for the both of us so it’s not too bad in price. Just that the food can be made better with using more seasonings and perhaps not smearing burritos in sauce.
My wife and I loved the Build your own Margarita and had a fun time picking out the different combinations of flavors and spirits. Be forewarned: the margs are huge, tasty, and pack a punch.
The freshy made tortilla chips are some of the best I've had--warm, thick and crunchy--great for dipping, and the different salsas were very good as well. We loved the chicken and choriza sopas and the birria tacos.
The bar staff was interactive and very friendly. We were in late at night before closing so there was plenty of seating available, however earlier in the evening there was an hour wait that we couldn't make. We were both happy we decided to give it another try after the concert we attended was over. It's a plus that you get to hear the music performers from the upstairs lounge while seated in the restaurant!
We'll certainly plan to be back again to try more dishes and experiment with new Margarita...
Read moreThe food was amazing but my brother ordered some Nachos and he found a hair in them, we proceeded to keep them and we became disgusted by the fact that he found 3 more hairs in them. We also felt like we weren’t being heard. felt like we were being ignored. We are very...
