Bonanza Cafe — Restaurant in Arizona

Me and my Wife stopped in with her parents.

Visually, this place is dreadful. Worn down cracked seats, dirty walls and decor and it’s an extremely small space, for how many occupy the room. It’s super crowded.

I ordered a French dip with Swiss and French fries. Forgot the Swiss cheese? Alright. No worries. I just said screw it and ate half the sandwich. Upon going for a bite on my second half, I noticed something green. Yup you guessed it. Green roast beef.

I brought it to the attention of my waitress who then immediately explained that I will not get sick, and the green is from the meat slicer in house. I explained that I no longer wish to eat the sandwich. To which the waitress asked if I wanted something else. I said I would like a side order of fries as a replacement since I no longer trusted their roast beef. Side of fries came out and I asked for a box and the bill was brought back with it.

Upon reviewing the bill, I find out not only was I charged full price for a sandwich that was inedible, inadequate, and downright wrong to serve to a customer, I was charged full price for my “replacement fries” and not comped at all on my bill. I paid $100 for my family to eat.

Horrible service, even worse cover up explanation for expired food. After we come out of the front door, an employee is in the back dumping bags of what looked like meat but could not confirm. Very, very alarming. Overall, I do not recommend anyone...

Busy Busy Little Cozy Cafe

Lots of Locals Frequent This Restaurant — lots & lots of Veterans, Seniors & Families were enjoying their food

Extremely Friendly Staff — We were greeted @ the door & within (2) minutes we were seated in a recently sanitized booth — Very Clean Restaurant

Our Waitress was FANTASTIC — even though the Cafe was packed — she immediately took our drink order & brought it to us.

Within two- three minutes she returned & took our food order. I am a picky eater — due to medical issues & she allowed me to substitute items without charging me more.

The food arrived quickly. The food portions were extremely large. The food was tasty, flavorful, hot & yummmmmy.

I wish I would have taken some photos; however, it was sooooooo good we gobbled it all up.

The waitress — even though she was VERY busy kept checking on us & refilling our drinks.

Our waitress was an older lady with lots of freckles — I wish I would have gotten her name — she treated us like FAMILY & definitely made our dining experience enjoyable.

We will definitely be back & back & back.

I would give the Bonanza Cafe...

98% of the food is homemade! As soon as I took a bite of the biscuit and gravy I had flashbacks to my childhood and my mom’s homemade gravy in her cast iron skillet. So so good! And I got French toast. I asked for it crispy...so happy! Usually I get it at places and it’s still all soft like bread. No no no. I like things CRISPY! My mom got the omelette...had like bacon and onions and cheddar cheese in it, she said it was the best omelette she’s ever had! She said she hates when u get an omelette and all u taste is the “egg” taste...she said here all u taste is the bacon, onions and cheese, that it was PERFECT! Tomorrow we are on our way outta town back to Bakersfield and we are gonna eat here again for breakfast, ha! Highly recommend it, quickly made great homemade food, and service...
