TLDR: Good food, bad service, no regard for personal property (story attached), shady staff Food was good, service was on par with other reviewers accounts as being lackluster, busy, and took a long time to receive food. All in all, the experience was ok and I very well may have come back, or so I thought, until my experience with the staff and how they handled things came about.. I left my sentimental priceless baseball cap behind in the restaurant at about 8 p.m. Friday, the night we ate, 2 hours before closing, and I realized it was too late to call and ask. I called the next day ( Saturday) at opening, was told to call back in an hour for what I'm assuming is for them to look. Gave them some time and called a few hours later to learn they had it. My girlfriend and I returned and she went in to grab it for me learning that it was the wrong hat. The staff gave her the run around and said they had "misplaced" my hat and the "girl who was working put it somewhere". Needless to say they pretty much shooed her away and had her leave my number. Upon learning this, I went in to the restaurant myself and received much of the same treatment by some, but not all of the staff, they seemed annoyed, and bothered by my inquisition and I was told the that they would get ahold of the server who "found it". I said I would return the next day (Sunday), and did at opening to see if they had found it because I was going back home back to Tucson. When I entered the restaurant, they seemed to know who I was and handed me the hat immediately. I was overjoyed at receiving my hat that my brother had given to me while in the military. As I walked out and got to my truck, I went to put the hat on when I felt the cold, damp, lining of the hat like it was just taken off. Upon further inspection, the hat appeared to have sweat from wear, snags on the material, and grease covering the bill of the hat where someone adjusted it. Now, to me, it appears that this hat has been worn, adjusted, and sweat in by someone other than I. I've attached pictures for reference and can assure that the hat was not in this condition when I left it. This coupled with the runaround given by staff assured to me that the staff knew where my hat was all along, and may have even lied to me about it. It was a great disrespect to something priceless of mine and though it may not seem that big of a deal, is no way to run a business. I am not one to make rash accusations or be hasty in judgement but I feel this is pretty clear cut. Staff found, wore and took as own, realized I was looking for it, then left it like nothing and oh we found it. Again, it's no way to run a business and makes me think if it had a been more valuable item or cash or something. If you come here, watch your items carefully. Thanks for your time and hope this finds you with better luck than I had.

Great place for a cocktail and bite to eat! We came to Long Wongs (Lakeside) for a “snack” and a beer. What a wonderful place! They’ve got the regular dining room with an arcade for the kids plus a window enclosed bar area called the “Love Shack”. It’s a great environment to meet up with friends. When summer rolls around they’ve got a large backyard area where you can dine next to the woods and bring your dogs along. Their menu has a lot of options like wings (they’re known for them), fish tacos, burgers, pizza and so much more. Today I got the fish & chips and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy and flaky without a lot of breading. Their French fries are hand cut and delicious. On Friday they have all you can eat fish and chips for $13.99. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an all you can eat up here. Someone next to us had the pizza & wing special and it looked and smelled incredible. We weren’t there during happy hour but I looked at their happy hour menu (see pic) and there’s some really great deals. If you’re a craft beer lover, then this place is for you. They’ve got a lot of taps (see other pic) to choose from and they’re always changing. During football season, they’ve got all the games on, including games you probably can’t watch from home because they’ve got the NFL ticket. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant is a town favorite! I love how Long Wongs is decorated and I love the vibe the restaurant has. We notified them ahead of time that we would be coming with a large group and for the amount of people we had, the service wasn’t terrible. We had two servers assist our tables and they were both extremely friendly and helpful. Due to the quantity of people we had, along with the other customers they had, it took a while to get drinks, order and get our food. We asked if we could order our kids food first and they weren’t able to do that. They don’t offer gluten-free meals but they do have salads available. Everyone at my table ordered hot food except me (I ordered a salad) and the meals came out staggered. My salad came out last, came out was wrong and had to be sent back to be fixed but everyone else seemed to have no issues. They have alcoholic beverages available, an arcade area and outside seating. A lot of people dine out and bring their dogs. They also have a Love Lock Fence which is truly amazing. I think it’s a wonderful touch to this place! Overall, not a bad experience.

Stopped by for the Fish Fry. All you can eat was a little more than regular 3 piece for me (not a negative). Was great portion and size of fish. So no penalties for that. Other places pieces are small and you need all you can eat just to get to 4 count to satisfy. Though size of fry had other issues.

Originally wanted to seat at bar ar patio, they had sign that said stop see hostess or similar. Waited at door to bar but nothing after 10 minutes. Went to different entrance and was told to sit anywhere. ( if your going to have stop signs, give direction sign or " Main Entrance")

Positives: great fish portion and where it was cooked great, was excellent. Like, if ounces remained same and was cut battered and cooked in smaller sections. Would likely been amazing. I liked the batter and sections of each fish towards ends. Just not the center.

So the negatives: fish was a large piece, but not equal in breading, crisp, or doneness (not under cooked, so good their) not consistent in anyway.

You either get fries or coleslaw, not both (kinda odd as those are typically fillers, but also make the dish less one flavor and better overall).

The tarter sauce was very runny and weak in flavor. And for 3 large pieces of fried fish I got less lemon wedge than in my iced tea.

Ice tea refill had no ice added so it was warm.

Basically I got the feeling of, ty for ordering now get out. Until cashing out.

Mixed: The fries were skin on, which I love, but extremely salty or old oil, it was only ok here not great or good, but really hope it was just the end of the oil life or a oops in salt. Also not part of all you can eat.

Overall: I want and will try again. Maybe at a prime time and not an off hour. I really want to try the fries again. And I saw some amazing looking wings. Now that I know the signage and what they wanted to communicate, won't waste time waiting at...

If I could give the place zero I would. I have tried this place multiple times. And yes the food is good but after I waited over an hour for my food THAT I MOBILE ORDERED last night, I can’t continue to come back. I had to tell them I’d dispute it with my credit card company before I got it. The last gentleman and women that helped me were amazing but that’s the only thing saving them are those two people. They have this older woman waitressing there and she’s horrible. The one and only time I went in to sit down she didn’t listen to a word me or my husband said. She got confused THREE TIMES (we simply wanted to order half a dozen of wings and an order of 12 wings with two different sauces) and then eventually gave up and another women took over our table. And even then, our food STILL came out wrong. Then last night I kept asking for updates on my order and she would say “I’ll check” but then proceeded to walk a completely different direction than the kitchen. In addition to all of this, there was this group of people who walked out because they felt extremely uncomfortable and were having a horrible experience and they told this waitress that and she didn’t nothing to try and work it out. I also feel bad for the man who came in alone just wanting to put in a Togo order and that same waitress was like “yeah no the kitchen won’t let me put in any orders for 15 minutes” she was hardly apologetic and neither was the manager. I asked to talk to him and told him the food is great but I wanted to tell him I’ve had multiple bad experiences but he doesn’t care. I sat there for an hour waiting for my food and I made sure to tell everyone who came in to go somewhere else and that’s my whole point of this review. The food is good but not good enough for the crappy experience and waiting...
