I had heard great things about this place and was excited to go. Ignoring the fact the parking lot is literally just a gravel field, it's a great location and the outside is clean and beautiful. Inside, everything was just as clean. We ate at 5 and were immediately sat down with no wait. The second we sat down the waiter was quickly asking us what we wanted to drink and after getting one of our drinks, the waiter bolted away and assumed we both wanted the same drink. It took less than 2 minutes for him to come back with them and rushed us for our order so we ordered and without writing anything down, he took our menus and was gone instantly, giving me no chance to ask for napkins. I had to wave down a random person to get napkins. We got our food and of course our food was wrong because nothing was written down. So, we had to wait a little longer for one of our dishes. Luckily they were fast to bring out food but it was a different waiter who brought the corrected dish. I only mention that because the original waiter showed up a minute later and acted like it was our fault we got the wrong food. Literally he showed up and motioned towards the food and gave attitude then left for no reason. When we finished our food, he again came in and wanted to be fast. I told him I wanted to go boxes and he was leaving without letting me finish so I said that I wanted our drinks to go as well and he stopped in place, turned very slowly and gave the most passive aggressive smile of all time and said sure before leaving. He never gave us his name, acted rude the whole time, and was rushing us for no reason. I noticed while we were there that several other employees were sitting or standing and doing nothing but talking and watching football on the TV. My guess is that our waiter acted the way he did was because he was joining them between serving us. The only reason I even consider going back is because the place was clean and the food...

Jose' s ( central ave , South)
atmosphere: 4/5 good AC , was busy, so it was very loud . decorations were definitely cool, and the hollowed out table which I forgot to take a picture of was cool too. I included a picture of Dora and swiper that were next to us while we were eating.
service: 4/5 I was pleased, they were busy so it wasn't the most frequent, but my cup didn't stay empty long
food: 4/5 okay here's where the review gets complicated.
my wife's beans were almost mind-blowing! I would absolutely come back just for the beans 💯 my cheese dip , simply amazing. the food was okay, the rice was better than average, I went with a fajita potato which you know isn't something that everybody orders, so I don't know how many they have on hand or how long they last.. I feel like mine was probably overcooked, I don't know it was still moist. the bacon was good, the onions were flavorless. I feel like they go more for accuracy by volume than flavor.
almost forgot, my wife ordered a fajita burrito, and after reading the menu ask for them to add peppers and onions to it. I know they only charged her $1.50 extra but I was literally like three peppers and maybe three or four onions.
all in all, I did enjoy myself, I would absolutely recommend this for anyone.. but I'm not sure it's worth the drive from...
Read moreThis review has been a long time coming. I've eaten at this restaurant for over three years. As with most people, I have a staple that I get - steak fajitas and a large queso. My family also dines with me. My spouse gets a large burrito with mixed meat and my daughter gets chicken enchiladas.
First - queso and chips. The chips have always been warmed to perfection and they are thick enough to withstand the cheese dipping while crumbling easily in your mouth upon eating. The queso is rich in flavor, always served hot, and even while hot, has excellent thickness so it's not dripping all over your shirt.
Second - the steak fajitas are second to none in the multitudes of Mexican restaurants that I've sampled in Hot Springs and across the country. The steak is moist, meaty, and thickly cut. There's hardly any fat to the slices and they are easy to chew. The vegetables are also sliced thickly and cooked to perfection. The tortillas are always soft and hot - not a stale part to them. The guacamole is AMAZING. Just the right amount of chunkiness.
The sweet tea is always wonderful - never overcooked - and the service is always top knotch, no matter how busy they are!
I can only speak in detailed terms of my own culinary experience, but over the years, I have NEVER been disappointed. I...
