This used to be my favorite restaurant in East End, but sadly I can longer say that. =( I like to give a place three strikes before I actually give a bad review especially in the restaurant biz just because every person and place has off days… that’s reality. The visit yesterday will be my last time visiting. Several months ago there was a shift in the way the staff interacts with me and my family. I don’t know why because we are normally quiet, not picky and try not to leave a big mess and I always tip at least 20-25% on my ticket. The staff acts bothered to take our orders and they never listen to what we ask for or they just hear what they want to hear. We order water with lemon they bring water with no lemon, at least say sorry we are out of lemon!!!! I ask for side order of pico with my cheese dip and they bring cheese dip and never bring the pico. Then it takes an act of congress to get simple things like a refill on a drink or more chips when the table has 6 people and 2 large cheese dips why would you only bring one basket of chips??? This happens EVERY TIME we have visited this past 6 months. The final strike was yesterday, I simply wanted a to-go container for my leftover dip I couldn’t eat because we never got a chip refill and I waited nearly 20 minutes hoping the lady I asked would eventually see us still sitting there and remember that we asked!!! So I politely picked back up my $10 tip I was going to leave on a $28 ticket and laid back down $3.00. I am sad that I have to stick to my principles and stop patronizing a place that can care less for my business. Goodbye Los Toritos and...
Read moreThe restaurant looks like a bistro on the outside, but looks like a very average dining area, though this may be the case. The atmosphere felt like I was in a sports bar. The food was decent at best, disappointing at worst though. The salsa is too watery, which you can easily tell is pre-made in batches. The guacamole lacks flavor and seasoning, the tomatoes don't even taste fresh, as if it's pre-made in batches... As for the Gled Chicken Chimichanga, the Guacamole and sauce is bland, with the vegetables somehow being soggy. For the Pollo Fajita, the Chicken strips are dry and feel horrible to chew, and the vegetables are...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem! Super reasonable prices, comfortable booths, and great atmosphere. My favorites are the chicken bowl special, the beef chimichanga, and their sweet tea. My husband loves all their burritos. The salsa here is the best I've ever had, a little heavy in the cilantro and a medium spice. I saw a few comments talking about their ground beef being gross, so let me explain. It is fresh, good beef and has a great flavor, but they break it up very small kind of like taco bells...where the beef is super fine. If that bothers you then order steak or chicken. You can't go wrong at...
