Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Arlington

I will never order again. I had been debating if I was going to give this spot a shot. I hate when the only thing I want to eat ends up a disappointment. Fish pieces are too small and thin for the price. There wasn't much meat just a lot of crust. Probably not real catfish either maybe white fish. The potato salad was okay the only thing I enjoyed. The fried okra and fries were soggy and the fries were put in a paper bag, So distasteful. Attempted to call and discuss my concerns as an opportunity to improve. Apparently, the manager didn't like me voicing my concerns, cut me off and said “I don’t have anything to do with the delivery time” I said, that’s understandable, that’s not the issue. Then he says “well you can come back I'll remake it. If I used door dash what makes you think I feel like driving up there? Rude and unprofessional. I called him an A hole and hung up. Black business owners need to do better. If you can't take constructive criticism or advice, please get out of business. I didn’t call to get a free meal nor remake. I wasn’t going to do a review simply because I don’t like to speak negatively on any business, but it was necessary. I give one chance and only one. If I can voice my concerns I’ll definitely try again but if I can’t voice my opinion, then that tells me; spend my money else where because they don’t care about you wasting your money or being...

I will post pics on my next visit (yes, I WILL be back!). I had the fried catfish, corn nuggets and fried mushrooms. The catfish was some of the best southern fried cornmeal catfish I've ever had and that is saying a LOT. The corn nuggets WERE the best I have ever had...hands down. The mushrooms were kind of lacking. The batter was fine, I think I didn't like the actual mushrooms they use because they were ok but unless they change something I won't order them again. Now, my son had the chicken and waffles, which I tried, and the chicken is on the next level. There are so many good chicken tender places these days but, man, these are in the running for #1 as far as taste goes. I wish they would have cooked the waffles a little longer as they were a little too soft for me but I think that's a preference thing. I tried the fried okra even though I am not big on fried okra and WOW, I actually really liked it! The owners and workers were all so very personable and we really had a good time talking with them. They made us feel like family. Love this place and their food. You have a customer for life!

Now, the desserts are on another planet. Anything you get, it's probably going to be the best version of it you have ever had...just sayin'. The banana pudding cheesecake is the TRUTH. Go here...you will...

I went into the location on Arkansas today to pick up an order and as I was waiting, Ms. Rita said (in a discussion she was having with her employees) that she was done helping people and how she was sick of people trying to get over. Now typically that would sound a way to the typical customer but always listen through the spirit to discern the root of the words. After she was finished with her private conversation (I overheard because I was close to the window 🤣). I called her over to me. I told her to not allow people to change her heart towards giving. When you’re a giver and you’re always taken for granted, your hurt comes from a different place. I am familiar with that place which is why I heard the hurt and frustration. This was my first time going to this establishment and I am confident I was sent there to encourage her in the Lord to continue to give and God would always send people to give back to her. The customer service was awesome- which is what keeps people coming back ! Go get a combo catfish and shrimp dinner and tell Her I sent you! I just started eating fried okra and it’s a winner here!
