I'll begin by saying I'm extremely disappointed this is what a twilight $85 round gets you. Yes, it's overseeded, but what is the point if you don't upkeep it? Maybe the superintendent is on vacation? This is supposed to be a premier course. To put it in context, the price of the round is in line with guest fees at the highest end private clubs in the area. However, those clubs sod areas that need repair, repair their customers/members divots that forgot or didn't care to, and they certainly don't have broken rakes that cut your hand when you pick them up. The fairways here have so many divots, and you can tell the grounds crew hasn't sanded or did any maintenance to them. It's to the point that you almost always land in one. Forget if you hit a slightly bad shot and are just off the fairway, plan to be in an area where it's mud, rocks, etc. A few times I just carried the bunker and thought I'd be fine, but instead I'm in an unsodded area. Speaking of hitting good shots, it's impossible to do when every tee box is full of divots. You can't find a spot with good footing or a decent place to play your ball from. Lastly, on the greens you will spend 10 minutes trying to fix footprints and divots. Forget a true roll. This was beyond disappointing and outright frustrating, in what should have been a really fun day. I know reviews like these garner skepticism so I had to take pictures so you could see and decide for yourself.

Drove from San Antonio to play with a local family. Definitely worth the drive. My friend and his dad had played it when it was a different name and layout. The were really impressed with the difference. Staff was friendly inside and out. Beautiful clubhouse. Good sized bar and grill/restaurant. Spacious driving range. Several chipping and putting greens to warm up. Many tree lined fairways makes a straight important. Several risk/reward holes. Korn Ferry tour was here 2-3 weeks prior. Was in excellent shape tee box to fairway to green. Greens were pretty fast and many had a lot of movement to them. You will not be disappointed playing this track. We had a great day on the course. Try it, you'll like it

Beautiful golf course with excellent facilities! The course is well-maintained and seems such great place to play on. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. After a round, the food at the restaurant is top-notch, and the bar is the perfect place to relax. They also have a well-stocked store with golfing items. Highly recommend this place for both golfers and those looking to enjoy a great meal in a beautiful setting!

My recent visit to the Texas Rangers Golf Course was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped onto the meticulously manicured grounds to the delightful dining experience that followed our round, every aspect of our visit exceeded expectations.

The golf course itself is a true gem, offering a challenging yet enjoyable layout that caters to golfers of all skill levels. Nestled in the heart of Texas, the course boasts stunning views and a serene atmosphere that provides a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The attention to detail in maintaining the fairways and greens is evident, and the overall course design is a testament to thoughtful planning and expert craftsmanship.

The staff at Texas Rangers Golf Course deserves commendation for their warm hospitality and professionalism. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for the day. The pro shop staff were knowledgeable and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable round.

The course itself presented a perfect blend of challenges and rewards, with strategically placed hazards and undulating greens that kept us on our toes. Each hole offered a unique experience, and the overall flow of the course was impeccable. The attention to detail in course maintenance was evident, with lush fairways and well-kept bunkers contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal.

After an exhilarating round of golf, we headed to the on-site restaurant to cap off our day. The dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The restaurant exudes a comfortable and inviting ambiance, making it the perfect place to relax and relive the highlights of our round. The menu offered a diverse selection of mouthwatering dishes, and the quality of the food surpassed our expectations. So I don't ever write reviews but I felt inclined to after playing the course on sunday 2/24/18. I am going to break this down into a couple parts. I am 5 handicap and play a lot of golf...

Golf Course: The golf course itself is 5 star in my opinion. It is very forgiving off the tee as they have taken out a lot of trees and replaced them with a lot of bunkers. The overseeded fairways are incredible and something you rarely see in DFW. I do wonder how long they will keep that up for over the years going forward. The greens are very good(minus a few bare spots and then #6 is struggling but they are new) and very undulating. Definitely has some hints of Ditto coming down the stretch(16-18) which I enjoyed. 8 of us played and the overall consensus is we all loved the course...

Now to the cost...

So I worked in the private golf club space for 7 years and have experience playing a lot of nice clubs during my golfing life. Right now(no clubhouse so that could change my opinion) for the non Arlington resident or non arlington golfer $120 is too high. This will be a once or twice a year course for your average golfer. And for people working at the club reviewing this take it with a grain of salt because you guys just opened and maybe you will be tweaking things but....

No water in the carts (gotta have that for $120) No club cleaner on the carts or on the range No one cleaning clubs at the end of the round Add music to the range, people love to hit balls and listen to music

These are all little things but they make the difference and I have some more but I don't want to keep going lol, bottom line is the golf course is incredible and a lot of fun to play but for your average golfer that loves to play, they will go down 30 to Waterchase all day.

Love the course, hope to play it again just maybe not...
