Home Plate at Texas Rangers Golf Club — Restaurant in Arlington

What a huge disappointment this was. We expected a higher level of service, food and overall experience due to it being the Texas Rangers Golf Club. We ordered a child's hot dog (highlight of the meals sadly), child's cheeseburger that came with no cheese, adult cheeseburger ordered medium but came out well done, and shrimp and grits which came out ice cold. It took 45 minutes to receive our food and in the meantime our waitress was absent during the window of when we needed refills the most. The $10 child's hot dog was good but not worth $10. Sadly what we had hoped this place to be a new local stop in but will not be a place...

We had a great waitress and a really cool Rangers/sports bar atmosphere. But our food experience was inconsistent. The jalapeño brisket appetizer didn’t have any brisket flavor. My buffalo chicken burger was perfect. My daughter’s salmon was just fair, very little seasoning and the teriyaki sauce wasn’t very complimentary. The worst entree was ordered by my wife who ordered the fish and chips which was not good at all, they looked like over-fried fish sticks. Would love to see a little more thought into the regular menu items going forward.

I had the SW chicken salad. Very, very dry chicken strips. Dressing was served on the side but accidently was served fallen over into the salad. I think the chicken must have been grilled, frozen and microwaved for the salad. Friends meal was ok, but not what she was expecting....Gyros, fried vegetable balls in a flat bread and could not eat as a regular gyro. It was her first experience , not impressed except for the view of the course.
