Herb's — Restaurant in Ashdown

Read great reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. Drove 20 minutes to get there. We ordered a burger, chicken wrap and large fries. Ordred shake and float to go with meal. Waited over an hour, thought they were busy but then everyone after us got their food and some finished and left before we got served. Finished our float and shake way before we got our food.. Waitress lady was very nice and came by, told us they were waiting on our fries. Food wasn't bad but also wasn't as good as expected. Burger was overcooked to the point it was charred. Chicken wrap had alot of breading and not much anything else. The fries came out lukewarm. I honestly think they forgot about us cuz they obviously weren't waiting on some lukewarm fries and it does not take an hour and 15 min to make a burger and a cold wrap....

Would would never visit again. They were out of almost everything we asked for such as turkey for a Cobb salad turkey for anything other. Other people asked for stuff and they were out. If you want cheap Mexican food do it yourself at home. All they did was use frozen burritos and cover up with a yucky chili sauce canned beans. Why pay anything when you can just do it easily at home. Do not know how anyone gave this place...

We stopped in Ashdown last week and were completely surprised to find this great little diner. Took one bite of my husband's "Herb Burger" and there was no question-The BEST Burger Ever!!!! He also was convinced as well. No other burger even comes close, he said. How have we never heard of it? Good service, family environment, and fantastic food.
