Chu's Express — Restaurant in Asheboro

Not sure if they have new owners or a new cook. I’ve been ordering from here for years and the food has always been good but this time everything was horrible. The egg drop soup was watery and bland (basically eggs floating in water) and the crispy noodles were stale. The General Tso’s Chicken was soggy and had no spice to it and the lo mein was mushy and flavorless. There’s no way the chef tasted this food bc it takes a lot to make Chinese food bad. I also noticed a sign that charges you extra for basic sauces and .65 for chopsticks which should be included for free like everywhere else. I feel bad posting a negative review on a place that has been consistently good for as long as I can remember but this past experience was the worst Chinese food...

I've eaten here twice now. I've order the same thing two days in a row. Yesterday was decent but today I was pretty disappointed especially because I always tip 10%. Basically I order chicken fried rice and fried chicken. Price is decent but there are no vegetables in the rice. Yesterday there was and today there is not. Also didn't receive fortune cookies. The food was very tasty I have had their sesame chicken, fried pork wontons, chicken lo mein, and steamed dumplings. Though people say the lady is rude I say the opposite she is pretty nice but since it is just her and the cook working there she won't stand there and chit chat you which some people find rude but I do not.
