Had salsa and chips slung across the table by a very unhappy lady who didn't even speak or slow down. Ordered a menudo and was served watered down bowl of 7 pieces of menudos and she even asked me if it was enough menudos and I spoke up and said no that was a sad bowl of menudo so they bring a smaller bowl with the actual normal amount.....and the tortillas were past date ....all around disgusted and the cheese dip got to the table after food and was basically cheese water .... I get it that you run out of stuff on Sunday, but just tell people you ran out instead of serving watered down things. And then charged me for...

My party and I were here on a bachelor party and I can safely say this was the best food we had during our tour of Asheville. A quick stop before our flights home, we were just looking for something close to the airport, but we were very pleasantly surprised. This small family owned spot is tucked away behind the Wells Fargo but boasts amazing authentic Mexican cuisine. From the fresh handmade tortillas to the chilaquiles, we left with our bellies full and smiles on our face. I don’t know when I’ll be back to Asheville in my life but I hope that La Jarochita still stands...

3.2 Not a 4. As it appears to me. This couple poured everything into this place and it's all cooked fresh. Nothing too fancy. I've been here several times and always had good food the way I want it and a good experience. The flour tortillas take a little getting used to so order the corn. This is authentic Mexican American food so you must tell them how you like it. I've been there for lunch and dinner. They have alcohol available as well. I support them and I encourage my guys to eat there...
