On Thursday 2/9/23 at 4:50 I was treated so rudely by the shift of all people. I made a simple request for light ice and was met with so much resistance. The shift took back the drinks and dumped them by throwing the drinks in the sink, forcefully throwing our cups out (wasting two perfectly fine cups), and proceeded to make two fresh drinks. When making them she overflowed them letting the drink trickle down the side of the cup. She then proceeded to put on a top and let the drink spill even more than it already had. She slammed the drink on the counter, spilling it more, and said, “here.” When I asked her to wipe off the side of the cup, she dumped it into a new cup, spilling it on the side of that one too, and then threw out a third perfectly good cup that just needed to be wiped off.
After meeting her with a sense of understanding that she could be having a bad day after the first rude comment, it continued to get worse. The scolding, disrespectful tone, eye rolls, and unpleasant faces she was making toward me, all because I asked for light ice, was highly unnecessary.
I asked if I could speak with the shift and after telling me she was the shift, I was shocked. I’ve been a shift for Starbucks in Chicago and I’ve seen some fellow baristas be very rude to customers. Those baristas would then be written up for their behavior and not tolerated. It’s unfortunate to see how having a little bit of power can go to someone’s head so much so that a customer asking for light ice will send them...
Read moreThis starbucks is so close to my house and so convenient. The morning staff during the week are amazing! The weekend staff seem like younger kids and don't pay attention. I ordered through the app and put light ice (this was the only modification I had) I walked in to pick it up and out of 5 people working not 1 person said a word to me. A tall girl looked up and thought I was some kid and said "Oh your not him" turned around and proceeded to talk about some restaurant and what drink she had. My drink was sitting there and I had to try twice to get someone's attention. I was the ONLY person standing there. So I get my drink and go home only to find they filled my cup more than half way full with ice. This has happened a few times before, I didn't think asking for light ice would be that difficult but I guess for some it is. I guess on the weekends I'll just have to drive down to Ingles and go to their Starbucks. I worked as a waitress for more than 10 years and I hate complaining. Just start...
Read moreI have frequented this location as of the past few months. Drive through business is flourishing all through day. I'm a walk in customer at most establishments pre virus. The lobby is open but not much seating, again virus stuff. Recently, in businesses I frequent. The additude towards mask wearing can be a bit extreme by employees. I wear a mask in public places, I keep my distance from others respectfully. As I received my drink in the lobby I lowered my mask to taste it because it looked to have more cream than desired. As I'm sipping the drink the employee instructs me to put my mask back on. Even with a wall of plexi glass, and 4 feet between us, and no one in the lobby, I was unable to sample my drink without intrusion over mask policy. I see this more frequently in establishments I spend a great deal of time and money. I respect safety. I work hands on with people everyday. But this is getting out of hand and alienates people that love...
