Claying Around LLC — Local services in Asheville

Update: 2/3/20. It's sad an owner would reduce theirselves to lying just to make it seem like a customer was making up a story about their experience specifically by saying they "DON'T OFFER CUPCAKES". That's because they changed the website. However, I kept a copy of the receipt and will paste the area we selected below. Because of this attempt by the owner to cover up a lie, I reduced the rating an additional star. I would never recommend this place going forward.

We enjoyed the painting experience, however we specifically selected vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. But upon arrival we were told that simply because we didn't select the "decorate our own" tab which we assumed was a $4 extra charge to do so as a specialty of some sort rather than just receiving already made cupcakes - we didn't get any cupcakes period and since my family was from China and had never tasted cupcakes before and this was going to be a first time experience - they missed out because of poor website directions and bad communication on Claying Around's part. I would reccomend this place for fun parties and family get-togethers but am sorely dissatisfied with this...

I’m so glad we came upon this place on our trip to Asheville while we were next door at the quilt shop heading over to fresh market. We ended up staying two hours and doing some glass fusing!!! They take walk ins so don’t be shy! The birthday party they were setting up and that went on while we were pretending to be artists look like the best idea for a kids birthday party!! I wish I lived in NC just to take my kids here once a month. I would totally make this a mommy daughter date often. The girl at the front was extremely helpful, nice, informative and gave us lots of tips for our glass fusing project. We could not have done it without her instruction (girl up front yesterday - Saturday) we didn’t have to wait either! There was an open table, she said take a seat and she brought us all our material. They have a winning team with her as an employee. Wish I got her name but she was...

My daughter wanted to do an art project and explore her independence using her own money. She purchased a large fragile expensive piece. Upon returning for a second visit to finish the glazing. She notice the piece was cracked. This broke her heart after putting so much money and time into it. We took responsibility for the crack but asked if they could exchange for a new one at cost. I was surprised when they said no. They would not offer a discount of any kind on a replacement of the unfinished piece. She was crying and wanted to leave. I will never go back to this...
