We stopped here on our way to Cheaha State Park. What a gem! I had the hamburger steak covered with gravy and onions. It was delicious. My grandson's girlfriend also had the hamburger steak. My grandson had had pork chops. He said they tasted like steak. "Best pork chops I've ever had!" The inside was clean and very rustic. The inside ceiling was old rusty galvanized tin. Very cool interior. We had two waitresses. One around 17+ and one was about maybe 6. The six-year-old came to table with an apron on and pad looking very professional. She took our drink orders. Service overall was A++++. My grandson actually paid for our meal, OMG! As we were leaving, I asked to see the young one. She walked up and I said, "You forgot to get your tip." I handed her a $5 and her eyes got BIG, and her mouth opened wide in amazement. So, I made someone's day for $5. What a bargain. She will remember that day for years to come. If I'm in that area again I will be stopping in for some good southern cooking and friendly smiles. And this time the catfish.

The cheesburger was delicious and my companions both got the fried catfish sandwich, one got fries and the other got a side salad. They both ate every bit and said it was very good. The place was recommended to us by a local man and he said he always got the porkchop and mashed potatoes. The sweet tea was very good too. The waitress was friendly and helpful, she had a bubbly attitude on this day. Our first time going so I don't know if that is usual. The building lacked any interesting features and the inside appeared a little run down but clean. They only had one communal restroom. If we are ever in the area again and get hungry I'm sure we would eat there again.

The best ribeye’s and pork chops anywhere I know of. Small town restaurant with great small town service that will beat any big chain food place anywhere. Give it a try if your in the area. Well worth the 125 mile drive and we will do it again. Just made another trip and it is under new management and ownership. Food is still just as good and the service was excellent. Prices seem to be the same or very close as in the past. Very pleasant and pleasing trip and looking forward to returning again. Other than prices it is still the same. Even the prices are not bad at all for what you get.

My husband and I are new to Alabama and decided to try Blue and White for lunch, we enjoyed it and decided to go back for dinner. Worst mistake EVER!! My Husband ordered Hamburger Steak, Home Fries and Mac n Cheese. I had Chicken fingers, Coleslaw and Mac n Cheese, being new we have not had a chance to try everything. Unfortunately my husband (Potato lover) was not a fan of the Home Fries as they was battered and NOT your typical Home Fries. I did not like the Coleslaw as it was very dry and tasted like a bowl of dried cabbage. When the waitress asked if everything was okay we advised her we did not like our options we had chosen she sent the manager over to speak with us and I advised her that we each had a side that we didn't like and I wanted to see if she would swap out the slaw for potatoe salad and I was willing to take his fries as my side. I was informed that they don't do that just because someone does not like something, that they could charge me for an additional side. I asked so you don't believe in making sure your customers are happy and here comes the Good Part!!! She literally asked me Do you do this everywhere you go!?!?! 😳 I may or may not have been so nice after that!! I know my blood pressure immediately went up but even more importantly I will NEVER be back and was told by the Owner/Wendy after calling and bringing this to her attention that it won't hurt that they lost ONE customer because thier dining room is always full!! Well all I can say is Good Luck because once people know that you could care less that your customers are happy and you treat them rudely they will eventually stop coming! I know times are hard but to loose a customer over a $2.00 side item is...

While on my way to handle some things the road took me to a place that is getting all to familiar now says, the place is small town America, where everyone knows your name etc etc,the place is clay county, alabama. It had been about 20 years since I was though here and the blue & white restaurant was still standing. My girlfriend and I was hungry and hit the doors right after the lunch crowd cleared out.Our waitress was on cue although she was clearly razzled by the storm of lunch traffic that had left. They offered a lunch bar or we could order off menu, but our waitress told us we could only order like 2 things 🤔 so we went to the food bar and it too looked like it had seen better days, food seemed to lack any kind of seasoning ,and was average, thats being generous. 3 stars, its a old restaurant that inside was in need of a makeover , but appeared clean. I was hoping for a little more from it but I'm glad its...
