The reason for this 3 was a split between the five for me and the one for my husband. The food was delicious, the service very pleasant, and the restaurant did a nice job with social distancing. However, and this is a huge however, there is a definite health risk in eating here if you have Celiac. You might want to skip this place because even after asking if the enchilada was made with a corn tortilla or a flour tortilla, an important distinction since my husband has Celiac disease (an extreme sensitivity to anything containing gluten, such as flour tortillas), he was told "corn tortilla" (safe because it does not contain gluten) yet he was served an enchilada made with a flour tortilla, which caused 48 hours of utter misery due to the autoimmune reaction celiacs have from accidentally eating anything that contains flour or other gluten. As soon as I walked in I was ready to leave. It looks dirty and I didn't want to stay but we were there for a family member's birthday so I had to stay. It's a huge menu but their food is not really seasoned and the server didn't explain anything about items on their menu. I couldn't imagine eating anything from that place so I thought I'd play it safer with a steak. That was another mistake, it didn't cut, it wasn't cook medium well, more like rare in the middle , and was very fatty. My dog enjoyed it when I got home. OMG! This place was SO HOT! First time here so can't say if this is the norm or not, but damn! A/C was hopefully struggling as opposed to being like that all the time. Don't know. For the middle of Clay County, Alabama, this place is fine. Comparing to other Mexican restaurants in the broad general area that we normally eat at......well..... this one is really lacking.
