Get over the fact that Suplex is connected to a gas station / convenience store. It's better than any fast food chain that does the same thing. My first experience with Suplex was during an event where the food truck was parked. I waited about an hour to place my order (not their fault - the event hosted 300+ folks and they were the only food vendor set up and ready when I got in line). The whole time I was thinking "Good Lord. This better be worth the wait." It was definitely worth the wait. I got a burrito that probably weighed a couple pounds. It was awesome! Rolled in the soft tortilla was plenty of crispy chicken, fresh toppings and wonderful guacamole. I forget the name of their special sauce but highly recommend. So when I traveled to Ashland recently I decided to stop at Suplex to recapture a great meal. I had forgotten that somebody in line at the previous event said "Best gas station tacos you'll ever have" and when we pulled in I thought it was the wrong place. The food truck was there but I didn't think the restaurant was connected. It was. The place was empty as far as dine in service and this was 6ish on a Saturday night. However, the to-go orders (mostly picked up at the drive through window) were lined up and there were at least a few walk in take out orders while we were there. We ordered and the food arrive promptly. I got the fish tacos and my date got the chicken quesadilla. We split an order of the pollo asada fries. Everything was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly. The quesadilla looked great and it was too much for the young lady I was with to finish. Finally, those fries..... heaven on a plate. The staff was courteous. The dining area was immaculate. We'll definitely be going back for another meal. Keep up the great work...
Read moreI came by one morning to order a breakfast burrito because I love them I drove fairly far. I ordered a bacon heavyweight breakfast burrito I know for a fact I did because I love the bacon breakfast burrito I would never order anything else I got home an hour later started to eat and it was steak or sausage I drove all the way back to try to make it before breakfast ended when I got there the man at the window with a black beard refused to replace my burrito he said that he knows that I said steak I did not say steak I know I didn’t I would never have done that. I told him this is happened to me before once but they replaced it with no problem that was a lady at the window that time so he argued with me with several cars behind us and refused to replace my burrito and wanted to give me my money back I didn’t want my money I wanted the burrito the way I ordered it and I said if you give me my money back I’m just going to go back around the drive-through and order the bacon burrito! Finally he decided to replace it I got to thinking about it and I can’t believe how he handled the situation when I just wanted my food right. I brought the burrito back that was made wrong and offered to give it to him and he still wouldn’t replace my burrito at first after all that when he handed me the new burrito he said can I have the other burrito back and I told him no! After what you just put me through you cannot and as I started to drive off he said OK don’t come backI have never in 37 years of my life been treated that way over a burrito they...

Ok, so, I'm new to Eastern KY and this Texas girl is desperate for good Mexican food. I've been visiting various Mexican restaurants in the area, and for the most part, I have not been excited.
Who knew, a drive thru at a gas station would be where I found delicious STREET TACOS! This is my first time at SUPLEX TACOS, so I ordered standard off the menu. The suplex tacos come 3 to an order, with various meat options. I chose carnitas, pollo asado, and carne asada. Let me start by saying the meat in each tacos was tender, juicy and flavorful. Loved the onions and cilantro. Wasn't prepared for the guacamole to come inside the taco. I thought it would be in a little cup. Altogether, those were GREAT STREET TACOS! The salsa (which had to be requested) has good flavor and zero heat.
I also got the Nachos Libre, which is really just meat and cheese nachos. The chips were fresh but they were very stingy on the ground beef and especially the queso. As a matter of fact there was almost as many dry chips as there were loaded chips. There was nothing on the bottom of my container to scoop a chip up into. BUT, THE NACHOS TASTED GOOD.
DEFINITELY A WIN TO FIND STREET TACOS. I do wish they had barbacoa tacos but I know that's asking a lot for this area of the...
