My boyfriend and I were traveling, this was our first time here, we had the tiniest bit trouble locating it but the signs significantly helped. It is located across a wooden bridge in what looked to be an old factory building. Staff was super kind, and our food and drinks got out fast, especially considering how busy it was. We both ordered the Iced Chai Tea, an Esspreso Brownie, and a Blackberry Cobbler. I wasn't too fond of my Chai tea mainly because I had asked for it without nutmeg, and it came with nutmeg dispersed throughout the drink. I had also specified that we had wanted whipped cream, and it was written down as such but then came without. The gentleman who served the drink wasn't the one who took my order, but he happily offered to make me a new one. As we were on vacation and I didn't care much about the drink, I just politely declined and said no worries. However, my boyfriend (who is not nearly as picky as I) loved it and drank both his own and my drink rather quickly. The brownie was okay, not quite our favorite, but im sure a favorite to others. Now, here is where I must rave about The Coffee Girl: The blackberry cobbler was absolutely and hands down the best dessert we tried on our trip. (5 days from Washington to California Route 101 Oregon Coast Senic Byway) With housemade granola that was breathtaking, to the sweetness of the blackberries, and the richness of the creamy ice cream, I have no complaints about this dish and would 100% travel back to Astoria for the sole purpose of having that cobbler again. The only thing I will say is that it was rather small considering my boyfriend and I had shared the dessert, but for one person, it is definitely ideal in size and richness. The Coffee girl had a wonderful indoor as well as outdoor seating area. However, if you're seated outside, you should expect some birds to come close looking for snacks. A young couple fed the birds some biscuits (birds are not meant to eat processed foods, and it can hurt them) so just keep that in mind if you should find some feathered scouts...

This year in August we came here and ate a meal (breakfast- and omg was it AMAZING!) So we got to eat outside amongst a bunch of other nice folks from all over the states/globe really. Just sitting at the edge of the pier at a very beautiful inside and obviously the views from outside are magical, and I grew up on a large body of water and these types of views never get old, infact they get better with time, esp I'm my memories. Awesome staffz no doubts and the dessert alone is well well worth it. I think I got a few different things a d all we're gone by the end of night,.I'm sweet fiend and this place really takes time to put love in their operation and should be proud. I will be here this summer and I'm already looking forward to it T888 oh and I'm not a coffee drinker but they seem to be obviously well well known for their coffee, so they are hitting the mark everywhere, true respects to a business that nails it on all fronts, much appreciated in liue of some of the lesser options we are all the more increasing seeing inside of seemingly family run efforts like this (if not by blood, still fam seemingly) 🙃 much love and good things comming you're way!...
Read moreUnpopular opinion, but I do not get the hype of this place! Service is super slow, barista was rude, coffee tastes like absolute garbage! Pretty sure this is one of the worst coffees I've ever had! Should have turned and walked away the second we walked in. The line was all the way out the door, which you assume is a good sign. Took us at least 20 minutes to order, then another 20 before getting our food and another 5-10 minutes to get our coffee! The girl at the register was nice, but kept leaving to help other employees. Maybe they're short staffed, but they need a better system in place to service that many customers! I was asked if I wanted room for cream in my Americano when I ordered and when I got my drink it looked like it had already been added, but pretty sure I saw the barista add 2% milk and when asked if she had already added cream, she rudely replied, "uh, yeah"! The cashier left the register again and was just having a casual conversion with a girl that it seemed liked she personally knew, even though there was still a line out the door. The only thing this place has going for it, is the view... and even then I can get that anywhere along the riverwalk! Had to try Coffee Girl and I will never go back! This was a...
