Good room. Staff needs replacement, not customer service inclined along with the management whos replying to these reviews. Not only is front desk staff (robin) rude, but so is management apparently. I'd love to know the name of the person responding to this review so it can be seen. I don't hide and when I make mistakes I immediately apologize and do what I can to amend it. Even though me and mama are there only because cancer absolutely sucks. Called twice in one day for room service to just show up. Never did. We keep a clean house. Would have vacumed and wipped down, and gotten clean towels ourselves if we could. I can only imagine how sadly you've treated mama since I had to take my trip away for my chemo

At least you guys are consistent on being rude to peoples faces and direct about it.

I am registered as the secondary on the room as mothers care provider and the card for the room is under my name. If im not registered as a secondary then your staff didn't do their job. So go ahead and ask Google to remove my review. I haven't been offensive and am a patron. It's my name and my money you'll be charging. Your own records should prove it. If not, someone didn't do their job correctly. Being treated as nothing but something brown you stepped in isn't a fun way to live while dying.

At least you guys are consistent on being rude to peoples faces. And I truly don't think you understand my overtone. It's disappointment and embarrassment for your behavior.

Your treatment and kindness has already been recorded for history. Last thing I want to do is publicly humiliate you for your treatment of terminally ill cancer patients over Christmas. But hey, I was trying to be nicer on the first one. This one I'll be serious and to the point.

But hey you don't have to worry. As long as my mama is treated fairly from here on out I will re-edit this to something less annoyed. Maybe even knock you up a couple of stars for being polite instead of trying to find every excuse to get rid of someone. You're already paid for the days we have booked.

EDIT: The definition of a bad company with horrible employees would be this place. You kick terminally ill patients out of the room that's been paid for, 2 weeks early. Because you don't like people calling you out and pointing out your mistakes. Nice try on trying to charge me. Im going to happily desute you with my bank and my lawer is already giddy, fraudulent and rude would be a nice term for your business practices. You've been paid for 20 days. Kicked us out before 10. But i prefer heartless, discriminatory, and ill mannered.

Ps kicking a homeless terminally ill cancer patient out of their room with the excuse "They did cannon balls in the pool" is absolutely...

This hotel had alot of problems. They are understaffed. Long waits too speak to somewhat at the desk. I stood and waited 15 minutes while the only person working took a complicated reservation over the phone. When I expressed some frustration, she gave me a sour look. I arrived at 2:30 PM and although check in time is 3 PM I was told not a single room was ready. I needed to leave and asked if my partner, who wanted to take a nap, could check in for me. No, that was against the rules, so I had to wait 30 minutes to check in at exactly 3 PM. I'm sure they could have found one double room that was clean and allowed me to check in without the wait. Unfortunately, the room they gave us had a faulty air conditioner which made a clanking, rhythmic mechanical noise (instead of the usual hum) which was loud enough to prevent sleep. I requested it be fixed or be allowed to switch to another room. When we returned from dinner, the unit was still making noise. The lone employee at the desk told me it had been checked and that all the air conditioners in the hotel made this noise. I knew that was untrue because the air conditioners in the hallways made the usual low level hum. When I said I wanted a new room anyway, I was told it was not possible. The pool and hottub were supposed to be open 24 hours a day, but the next morning they were closed. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. But a hotel this size needs a bigger staff and needs to go the extra mile for the paying customers. Very...

The best part about this location is the waterfront view. I have stayed at other locations and had better experiences. I called this specific location before booking to inquire about EV charging. I was told charging was available. When I arrived I learned there is only 1 charger and of course it was occupied. The hotel does not require a time limit therefore a vehicle can stay in that one spot for as long as they desire. This is quite frustrating. Then in the morning 1 of the 2 waffle makers was broken during the complimentary breakfast. It is summer time and the hotel was packed with people. That would be a good thing to get repaired. The eggs were the worst eggs I’ve ever tasted. I’m sure from a bag of some sort. The sausage was almost as awful. The staff was not overly friendly or helpful. I would consider the holiday inn that is down the road for the same price...

We have stayed at the best western in Long Beach, Vancouver, and the one in Seaside. This location in Astoria was a disaster! They advertise that they still have a sauna here but it was removed a few years back. They offer earplugs at the front desk for good reason, the sea lions are very loud and you can hear them day and night. The pool and jacuzzi were nice but both my kids are sick now. We usually look forward to the continental breakfast from Best Western. However, the Astoria location let us down. There was mold on the fruit, no one came to Attend the food, refill the coffee, or clean any of the tables after people had sat to eat. On top of that the dining area overlooks the swimming pool and leaves you with an uncomfortable feeling. When we checked out we told the front desk to have a good day and no reply or acknowledgement. We will not be staying here again.

We stayed there in December and it was quiet, except the noise from those harbor seals. If you want a quiet room, I recommend ask for the room far away from the water, may be street side. I had no issue with the seals' bark but my husband could hear them. The hotel staff were all friendly and very helpful from the front desk to the breakfast room. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was great. This hotel is next to Safeway and about the far end of the downtown. You can see the Goonie house from this hotel and the school they filmed the Kindrrgarden cop is just across the street. The trolley stop is also just behind the hotel. I will stay there again.
