I'm picky about Mexican Food. I've been to Los Alebrijes 3 weekends in a row now. The food is phenomenal. The first weekend we had quesabirria and a chimichanga. So good! The fajitas are flavorful and juicy. The tortillas taste like they are made with love. Last weekend my BFF had 3 margaritas on the rocks and I had 2 mangonadas. Tonight, mom and I enjoyed frozen margaritas that were absolute perfection, and the price is very reasonable, $3.99 for a small! The watermelon margarita is so fresh.l it's like biting into a piece of watermelon (my fav). The cucumber margarita with tajin rim is so refreshing. It's beautiful. The cheese enchiladas melt in your mouth, and the gravy has the perfect amount of "chili" taste. The salsa is the perfect consistency and comes with fresh cilantro on top but the green sauce.... OMGEEEEE it's out of this world 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
The owner stops by and checks on you. He's super friendly & his prices can't be beat. Don't let the construction on 1960 deter you from stopping by for an...
Read moreDecided to check out this little spot on 1960, and I'm SO glad we did! We were promptly seated, and the service was amazing. Multiple people checked on us to make sure everything was good (and it was). You get complimentary chips and salsas (red and green).
I ordered the asado to puerco (authentic), and it came with rice and beans. It was yummy. I also ordered a margarita on the rocks with tajin. O.M.G. It was SO good! I'm super picky about my margs, and this one was the business!! Even my husband was surprised that I actually liked it lol. My husband has the flautas americanos and said he liked his, paired with a Mexican coke.
Also to add, it was cutely decorated with Christmas decor (LOVED THAT!) Parking is a shared lot with other businesses. I'm excited to come on a weekend and try their posolé. We will definitely be back! I didn't get a picture of the food because we dug into it once it...
Read morePorky's the venue is great. I love the atmosphere, the people, and the variety of different foods to order. However, that Loz Brisket and more has by far the worst BBQ rib plate I've ever seen and tasted. I'm not sure what part of the pig that was or even how cheap the meat was. It was a literal slimy mess. There was literally no taste at all, no salt, no pepper, no nothing. It tasted awful. The ribs did not even stay together, it was if they were boiled then placed in a oven. They were so slimy and disgusting. The fries I was given were not even cooked all the way through. They were just limp grease holders. They were still hard and just had soooo much grease on them. The macaroni tasted like a 5 year old made it. It tasted old and microwaved. For anyone going to Porkys I would advise you not to visit this place. Worst experience since I've...
