As someone who relishes in sharing the finest culinary experiences with my traveling family, I am elated to recount the countless delightful visits we've had at Cali N Tito's, a true gem in the tapestry of dining establishments.
Each visit to Cali N Tito's is a celebration, not just of flavors but of warm hospitality as well. The owner's friendly demeanor and the staff's attentive service create an inviting atmosphere that makes every patron feel like part of the Cali N Tito's family.
The menu, a kaleidoscope of culinary delights, features standout dishes that have become a tradition for my family. The Mexican burger, a masterpiece of taste and texture, always leaves us savoring each bite and longing for the next. The Peruvian fried rice, on the other hand, is a dish so sublime that it can only be described as 'heavenly.' The perfect blend of spices and fresh ingredients in these dishes encapsulates the essence of Cali N Tito's commitment to culinary excellence.
Beyond the exquisite food, the restaurant's interior design deserves its own accolades. The vibrant and 'loud' decor perfectly complements the indoor-outdoor ambiance, creating a festive and authentic setting that enhances the dining experience. It's a visual feast that pairs wonderfully with the gastronomic delights served.
In sum, Cali N Tito's is not just a restaurant; it's a destination where every visit guarantees a journey of flavors, joy, and heartwarming hospitality. It's the first place I think of when I want to give my traveling family an unforgettable dining experience, and it never disappoints.
I cannot recommend Cali N Tito's enough. It's a place where culinary dreams are realized, and every meal is a celebration of life's simple yet...
Read moreI'm rating Cali and Tito's on Cedar Shoals a 4 out of 5 primarily over the quality of the food. Service is limited to bringing your food out. This is counter service and you self bus your table. We did not see any takeout containers but a large roll of aluminum foil and grocery store style plastic bags are in the bussing station. Ambiance is eclectic and with lots of rides would be quite fun for a small child.
So back to the food!
I had Jalea de Mariscos. This was essentially a huge pile of lightly breaded Shrimp, Calamari, and Grouper with topping of fresh marinated red onion Cebolla Criallo. Seafood was tender and tasty. The onion marinated tasted good bit also wet down the fried seafood. This came with a small side of Yucca Fries.
My guest had a Steak Quesadilla and noted the steak was very tender.
I also ordered Tostones (Green Plantains) but they came with the same sauce as the fried seafood vs the garlic Aioli I'm more familiar with.
I had House Made Horchata. My guest ordered a Heineken but didn't realize it was alcohol-free.
This had a very carnival feel to it.
With ordering the more expensive seafood, our total pre-tip was more than expected for lunch for two coming in over $70.00. However, we did have leftovers of everything and servings were generous.
Oh! Tables are indoor picnic tables painted with different country flags.
We had some difficulty finding the restaurant as the building is perpendicular to the mainentrance.its after the Dollar General if approaching...
Read moreSave your money go to taco bell. I don't ever go there but I can imagine it would be better than the food I had last night. The avocado came with the peeling still on it, it was not a busy time either. None of the food had any seasoning let alone spice or flavor. I grew up in a culture where South American Food & Cuban Food was prevalent, this is neither authentic or well prepared. The rice tasted bland and probably instant. The salsa tastes like it came from a jar, and the side of vegetables had no zucchini as stated on the menu and was dripping with oil. I had ordered Tostones which they did not bring out. The young MOD of the night when approached about the avocado was nonplused about the service food or laziness of serving an avocado without peeling it. She very flippantly asked if I wanted a refund. Walking away without giving me her full attention (no she was not busy, I had called her away from a table where it was obvious she was chatting it up with her friends). Of course the establishment won't suffer because of the high volume of alcohol sales but none the less the food was sub par even for those whose main reason for visiting isn't food. They have these weird short planters within squares of seashells that all blend together and are an accident waiting for someone to walk into and fall. This place has gotten worse since they've changed the concept, menu and I'm guessing management/ownership. Save your money they could care less about...
