The waitresses need more training, in my opinion. It's hard to explain, basically not upbeat at all, like they don't want to be bothered. Mess up orders a lot, but the food is good.
Update: Dropped my rating. I have ordered a hoagie for carryout 3 times. I customize it because it has a few items I don't like or can't have. I ordered again today. I asked what came on the hoagie because it's been a while since I ordered one. I was told the meats, cheese, tomatoe, lettuce, onion, and hoagie sauce. I asked for no onions (I only like green onions), no tomato (have to watch my potassium intake), and no hoagie sauce because I've never tasted it before. When my hubby got here with the order, there was a bunch of pickles and some yellow sauce on it. I hate pickles. I made it edible by taking the pickles off, wiping off the yellow sauce, and putting everything else on bread I have at the house. It tasted alright but would have been better without the slight taste of pickles or if they had got my order right. If you customize your carryout order, make sure they get it right before leaving with your order. Train your staff to know what stuff comes with so they can properly convey it back to the customer when asked what is in this or what is on this.
Update: Changed service to 1 because today, 11/2/23, while trying to call to place a carryout order, I got hung up on 3 times. They'd pick up the phone and not say anything, then hang up on me. On the fourth call, I had to say something first while they were silent to get them to finally speak. When you pick up the phone, say Jenkins, how may I help you...
Read moreGood food, good friends, could not have asked for more. The staff was bright and cheerful, pleasant and attentive, enjoyed our server greatly. But we always do, they seem to hire service focused servers. Food was tasty and good portion sizes. We arrived about 6 PM, it wasn't too crowded at that time, we beat the rush, because by the time we finished, the place was full of happy smiling people, enjoying the food and friends too. The fried pickles and onion buds were hot and tasty with plenty of sauce if you wanted it. I fell back to my basic Ham and cheese sandwich while my wife enjoyed her beef dip, both came out quickly hot and were enjoyed thoroughly, prices were fair, all was good and with that we were finished, well almost desert was terrific strawberry cheesecake delightful tasting another at the table had mud pie, neither lasted very long as they were quickly dispatched over the small talk at the table. We used to eat at Jenkins a couple of times per month, but Covid put an end to that, it was nice feeling like the world is returning to normal, Jenkins helped contribute to that sense being back where we were 2 years ago. Again good friends good food, good times...
Read moreThe majority of the staff were neglectful. Our table was ignored because the waitress had parties, and said as much. I hadn't seen her in 45 minutes so I asked to speak to the manager. Jason had an attitude when he got to our table. I explained about our table being ignored due to Amanda's parties. He said it wasn't true. Jason then said that since he couldn't satisfy our table he walked away. All the staff was hovering around one another. I went to pay my bill and Amanda was very rude and disrespectful. She said she had parties which is why she didn't come to our table. I asked her why she didn't give us a different waitress, and she didn't respond. All she did the whole time we were standing there was huffing and puff. Jason never came out of the back room the whole time I was at the counter. Some manager. I told her my husband had died in July, and this was one of the places he enjoyed coming to. I asked her who the owner was and she said that they were dead.i had a lot of happy memories of my husband and I eating here. He loved sitting outside. Thanks to your horrible staff and manager, those memories will never...
